motorised or fixed multi lnb with multiple boxes

I'm thinking about playing with multisats. I know most of the obvious questions have been answered but here are a few I haven't seen.

1. I have a pole fixed to the back of the house with an old CB (who remembers them) antenna fixed to it. If I wanted a multi sat set up would it worth fixing the dish to the pole rather than side of house where current 28.2 fixed dish is? house runs east-west

2. I have 3 boxes that are sat compatible and 2 of them currently connected to fixed dish. If I get either motorised or multi lnb fixed would I still be able to both boxes to them?

3. I know it's penny pinching, I am assuming my current dish isn't big enough but would the existing quad lnb work as part of the multi sat set up?

4. are most of the euro channels part of Sly or are there other platforms, just thinking if sly repeat what has happened here in europe will there be anything left that's watchable.

5. this is more a play thing, the wife is happy with cable and lately I've got bored having all these boxes but nothing to play with. would a fixed dish with multi lnb's or motorised dish be beter for multiple boxes?

Thanks

Go motorized and a great deal of channels available.Sky have a big european presence but a huge amount of other stuff available,You would need a euro line for encrypted channels

Never used multi

But
If you have a motor, you will only be able to watch the one sat at a time and I'm sure you won't be able to flick over to another sat
tbh I don't think that would be a major issue as 90% of time only one box is in use at a time, ie we watch in front room or go to bed and watch in there.

For choice - i'd say motorised if you've got a good view of the arc.

Check dishpointer.com - put your postcode in and drag the pointer to the exact location where the dish will be then choose a satellite from the dropdown list.

If you are going to use the pole outside it must be south facing with a clear line of site from buildings and trees 2 inch pole is best for most 80 cm satellite dishes and above which you will require for either multi l.n.b set up or motorised As for your lnb it will need to be a 40mm colar to fit the adapter which fits into the dish

If you want to use more than one box, or record from one sat and watch on a different sat, then you can't go motorised.
I had that problem,
I currently have 3 LNBs on a 65cm dish, but, I'd recommend an 80cm dish as a minimum, you can't get closer than 6degrees on a 65cm dish.
I have 28 19 and 13 on a 65cm dish, and its m going to see if I can get 7e too.

There's really no point in you trying to get 7E, the only watchable channel here is Fox Sports Europe and you need a Biss Receiver for that plus a bigger dish, there are plenty of sports feeds at 7E & 10E but you need a 1M+ Dish pointed straight at each Sat, some are FTA but most are coded, (some with Biss Keys that you can find posted online), the Fresat Golden/Super receivers are great for this.

OK, thanks for that,

HI steptoe, what if the lnb used is twin output lnb?
1 output goes through the motor to primary box which controls the motor.
second feed goes to second box which will not control the motor but watch the channels on the satellite it is receiving?

Probably be better with a priority switch

That dish is butt ugly. My OCD would be in overdrive the lnb's are not all the same type and the gaps between them are not evenly spaced.
