The VPN 'myth'

Regards resellers, could you even contemplate that most server owners are buying the streams in from a re-streaming wholesaler?

All servers set up differently, if you look at c-s some servers offer "all locals" some will have a few locals and use a share for some of the less used channels.

I assume an IPTV server works on a similar basis.

I am no expert when it comes to the server side all I can say is from experience you generally get what you pay for and I have found paying a bit
extra and dealing direct works for me.

Paying £15 a year and arsing around with VPN not getting a stable service just isn't my bag.

so bees, are u saying that servers that get blocked when football is on is down to overload or prem blocking servers,im a little confused?

you have to laugh don't u,lol. people still believe the world is flat, u can tell them different till ur blue in the face and they still don't believe you, pmsl

When the bans first kicked off there was a guy playing a similar 'my server is better than yours' game to this, quoting things his provider had supposedly told him. I later sussed who his provider was when his service became less than.. erm.. flawless ;-) and they'd said nothing like what he was saying they had, merely that they'd pre-empted the ban so customers didn't need a VPN at their end.

Weird how it's made so many 'know it alls' and made people so cock sure of their servers when in reality any server could be hit at any minute.

What I am saying is that you shouldn't need to worry about all the ins and outs
just pay the going rate and everything should work.

Just because one server needs VPN to clear doesn't mean every server needs one
or will need one in the future, if my server needed VPN to work I would move.

Each to their own, if you want to pay cheap and have hassle that's a choice you make.

I wish I could just find a decent server full stop.....vpn or no vpn. I have used the thread on here numerous times and get nothing but sh1t!!

I'm not asking for anyone to send me details I'm just making a comment.

Problem I am finding is servers who refuse trials when the football is on.....speaks volumes in my opinion or they want £5 for example for a trial and then you find out how bad the service is.....paid for trials so much I may as well have just paid Sly!!

Sticking with c/s for now and using a free apk for football......no freezing or blackouts all yesterday!! I don't know what to make of all this vpn or no VPN.....just keep looming for free trials when the football is on for the moment until I find a decent supplier.

That was what everyone was doing till the PL season kicked off and the brown stuff hit the fan... IPTV is gonna be targeted massively since the court order made ISP's take action to prove they are combating it - to think your server will never be affected is crazy.

I know providers charging £80 and are hit by the ban
also I know others charging £40 that haven't been hit. its a lottery.

The provider who is claiming a fl****ss service....they may claim they don't need a vpn and fair enough when the match goes off they get it back on within 10 mins or so, but still the match shouldn't go off.......use a vpn with them and the match never goes off apparently.

Mine wasn't hit until two days ago.

The PL is a multi-billion pound industry (leaving aside the fact their partners are hit in the pocket by IPTV) - but it's nothing for them to throw a million quid at setting up a team who are tasked with the sole objective of discovering IPTV sources. Any service that advertises, even if only through resellers, will be singled out and hit as some point.

Which ones are using workarounds and which ones haven't been hit yet? We can't really know the answer to that.

Their streams never went off for me, even without a VPN. I used them as a backup while my original provider was getting around the blocks.

Has your original provider got around it now, and is there any noticeable difference in the viewing experience?

Yeah they sorted it at their end so the customer doesn't need a VPN, I only used it for about 6 weeks then unsubscribed from it. I use that upstairs on the firestick with perfect player and it's spot on, the odd buffer during football matches but that could be as much down to Wi-Fi as anything else.

Fair enough. No idea what to say to that. When I was with them the match used to go off every weekend for about 10-15 mins and whenever champions league was on it was unwatchable. Soon as the game ended all back to normal...hence the reason why I didn't renew with them. I know people who are still with them and use a vpn and claim they are never affected......i give up with it all. Fed up of trying to find a decent service.

champions league is not included in the ban,if u had lose of viewing then I would say that is a server overload.

They are one of the suppliers I follow on Facebook and have seen a lot of complaints posted about poor quality football streams. You'll always get the ones that swear by how good it is, but who do you believe?

That makes sense...i didn't realise the ban didn't cover those matches. Back to square 1 then.....people keep saying these decent providers exist but god knows where they are. Bin Laden was easier to find than a decent IPTV server
