00008 Tuner B Failed

Hi, a friend of mine is having issues when trying to scan as his channels are not working. Any ideas how i can fix this for him.

He barley uses it and not technical. I have told him force download of provider files then try running a scan. It errors at this point.

Btw he has the ipad build. Think that has AUTO BOUQUET MANAGEMENT not AUTO BOUQUET MAKER.

Are these different?

Ipab is now finished and out of date. I don't think it was used by many on this forum anyway.
Best bet would be to flash a new image.

iPad is no longer being updated, basically it’s dead! You need another image on your device!

I have the same image and i remember abu remoted in and amended a file saved it and filezilla transferred it to my box. Then ran the scan and it worked.

Btw i am in birmingham and my friend is in nottingham.

Ever since doing that mine has been fine. I will update mine when i get a chance. It will be difficult doing my friends. Ideally if i can get that file and i remote in his end and update it.

I should be fine putting a image on my end. I just need to get my friend back up and running. Couple channels not working, but he deleted the bouquets and now cant scan the box. I think it was the cable xtml file.

You can flash the box online and enter line details manually via remote so you could guide your friend through it over the phone!
If you press button on your remote and go across to flash online and press it! Then press the green button on line you will see open atv 6.2 update to the latest one! You will need a usb stick in the rear USB port to this! Fat32 usb! You will have to do this FIRST

• Press the Menu button on remote and select Setup -> System -> Storage Device -> Initialisation -> YOUR USB DEVICE -> Red Button.
  Once the initialisation has completed, hold the power button on remote until a menu appears and select Restart Gui.
• Step 3 : Make sure the storage device is mounted correctly by pressing the RED button on the remote and selecting Plugins -> Mount ManagerYour storage device should be listed and should say Mount: /media/hdd.
  If it does just press the exit button until you exit the menus, if it doesn't press the Green button to Setup Mounts and using the Left/Right arrows on the remote change the mount until /media/hddis selected and press the Green button to save. Answer yes if prompted to restart the box

Then enter a command line for which build they want you could either do that my webif putty or telnet app on a phone

I don’t think you can flash online when ipab image is on the box. It’s blocked.
You have to download the zip file image onto a usb and flash from there.

todays .xml file is attached to this post, download and unzip it then use filezilla to FTP it to

Option one, flash latest image and use recent ABM, update provider file, run ABM
Option two, keep using same image, install latest ABM, update provider file, run ABM

You can mate I’ve done it on a box that had iPad open atv was in there online flash!

I was ask by a relative to update 2 boxes with ipab images on and when trying to update online it only shown the option for openatv 6.1. Was advised on here I’d need to update via USB.
Maybe a anomaly I had.

If he has deleted the cables.xml file, tuner cannot be set properly. ABM needs a valid tuner configuraation
system version of cables.xml file goes in /etc/tuxbox/
user version ( takes priority) of cables.xml file goes in /etc/enigma2/

Yes mate if you repeated the process a later image would appear that’s what I did mate! Flashed again until 6.2 appeared
