Drones.. DJI Spark.

That looks very professional mate keep us updated with your new toy.
I have taken some model aircraft home in bin bags it’s not the best feeling in the world is it.

I spent months building a helicopter
It came home in a bin bag..I was so annoyed and sick, I never built another.
I got into flying kites. 15 years on I decided on a small safe drone ( DJI)
Then have progressed with experience. I flew the mavic 2 pro.
its allegedly one of the smartest drones you can buy. I bought the mavic pro, Reason being the Mavic 2 is not to dissimilar to the pro. Battery life is better, but not worth extra £400 . The camera on the pro 2. Is very special
Hasselblad.

YouTube wont let me upload in Hd. ?,

Great footage mate your really getting the hang of it now.
Going to Raf waddington at some point next week hopefully might get a glimpse of their drone if its out for simulation training etc.
Was over east coast just after xmas when i was dog sitting but i didnt have my damn phone with me to get footage because it was really low aswell.

Thanks very much, I really enjoy the peace & open air, I use Polarpro nd filters, so makes footage look better, it's when I uploaded the quality drops .
Yes east coast is grim in winter.
Hopefully the weather stays well for you next week. Simulators are really good to practice, I use one and still learning now.

Only got a entry level 1 (hubsan x4) battery life is 10 mins max but I’m just testing the water and to be honest if your only 10-15 mins with the more expensive ones I think I will stick with this.

On the mavic pro. I get about 25minutes. @ 10mph
Dji spark the battery life was 13 minutes, in sport. If you enjoy the hobby, you can rent a drone for a weekend, depending on skill levels. You could save a fortune

Good shout might just do that cheers

Looking good mate, have you flown over that village before? I kinda recognise a few things.

Hello mate,
It's on my door step, I just wanted to try some new filters.
You were 100% correct when you mentioned plotting courses, waypoints, many months ago. Tomorrow i am venturing to an old abbey ruins, all sensors turned off ..
( I have my bin bag ready)

Have been enjoying following this thread for some time, and finally thought that I'd pen a few lines here.
I am perhaps something of a late-comer to the whole 'drone thing', but I have to say it is something that is just such huge fun....... messing about with a flying machine; what's not to like.
Oddly enough, digital photography is also something that had (until I got a drone) completely passed me by too, but getting a drone has found me launching headlong into that. Personally I am not particularly fussed about video, but capturing landscapes and seascapes is something that I particularly enjoy.
Have recently been trying to teach myself how to stitch together panorama's too.......This one is clearly needs some further post-production work, but I was quite happy with it as a first effort.

That's a nice photo mate, what part of the world are you in?

Good drone. And really durable, battery life is only concerns.
They also hold their value for resale. .
I must admit that I don't really have any frame of reference with which to compare. It's my first (and only) drone which I recently received as an unexpected and most welcome gift, but I can see it all becoming something of a life-style-hobby....... I get typically get about 17/18 minutes out of a battery and have three batteries available. It helps to plan a photo-taking sortie before setting out in order to maximise available time in the air, and once I have the shots 'in the can', I can take all the time I like back at home once they are transferred to my laptop.

That was taken at a place called Warsash in Hampshire, England. The villiage on the opposite bank is Hamble-Le-Rice, and the view is looking more or less northwards up the River Hamble estuary. It is a compound 21 individual pictures all stitched together to make a panorama.

Here's a view looking to the South from the same spot
