NOT Sure why you are posting Here in Viark Topic ???Hi All, been offered a 1m motorised dish for a good price, question is do you think I will have a chance of picking up the 7e feeds in Lincolnshire on this size dish?
I certainly wouldn't say it irrelevant as I plan on using the Viark to tune into the 7e feeds. But thank you for for the advice on going up to a 1.25m dish.NOT Sure why you are posting Here in Viark Topic ???
1 Meter would be the very minimum Size dish required ideally 1.2 meter dish .
you will pick up feeds but weather will be a factor ,
best open a new topic however so as not to hijack this topic with totally irrelevant questions .
Feeds vary in strength on 7e youll get most but there is always the odd one you'll miss out on because of fringe signal strength.Hi All, been offered a 1m motorised dish for a good price, question is do you think I will have a chance of picking up the 7e feeds in Lincolnshire on this size dish?
I use triax 1.1 and it struggles at times on 7e, especially in bad weather Im in SW UK.I certainly wouldn't say it irrelevant as I plan on using the Viark to tune into the 7e feeds. But thank you for for the advice on going up to a 1.25m dish.
I will ask any more dish related questions in another forum.
Thank you, do you think giving the 1m a go is worth a shot?Feeds vary in strength on 7e youll get most but there is always the odd one you'll miss out on because of fringe signal strength.
I do just dont expect every feed @STINGER is right 1.2 meter is the one reallyThank you, do you think giving the 1m a go is worth a shot?
ideally i wouldnt look at anything below 1.2m , you need room for rain fade tooHi All, been offered a 1m motorised dish for a good price, question is do you think I will have a chance of picking up the 7e feeds in Lincolnshire on this size dish?
The bigger the better. But, is anything above 1m practical for you? You’ll probably need a vbox to drive a 1.2m dish, a stronger setup as it’ll be impacted by the wind more, etc. Plus, you also technically require planning permission for a dish that size.Thank you, do you think giving the 1m a go is worth a shot?
TM motor does 1.2 ok, all down to how exposed it is.I use a 1.2 mtr dish with a normal motor and no problems but it is ground mounted and covered from the wind
Pics,I had to hide it down the bottom of garden covered by a small hedge a shed and painted dark green
I am not far from you and have a 1m dish, I get a reasonable amount on 7e but the alignment of the dish needs to be spot on.I went from having a 1m motorised dish on the wall of the house to having it on a pole in the garden but 7e was always difficult at times, I am in the south midlands.
