Hi All, been offered a 1m motorised dish for a good price, question is do you think I will have a chance of picking up the 7e feeds in Lincolnshire on this size dish?

NOT Sure why you are posting Here in Viark Topic ???
1 Meter would be the very minimum Size dish required ideally 1.2 meter dish .
you will pick up feeds but weather will be a factor ,
best open a new topic however so as not to hijack this topic with totally irrelevant questions .

I certainly wouldn't say it irrelevant as I plan on using the Viark to tune into the 7e feeds. But thank you for for the advice on going up to a 1.25m dish.

I will ask any more dish related questions in another forum.

Feeds vary in strength on 7e youll get most but there is always the odd one you'll miss out on because of fringe signal strength.

I use triax 1.1 and it struggles at times on 7e, especially in bad weather Im in SW UK.
Ask away anything you want to know this is in the Satellite Installation now.

Thank you, do you think giving the 1m a go is worth a shot?
The bigger the better. But, is anything above 1m practical for you? You’ll probably need a vbox to drive a 1.2m dish, a stronger setup as it’ll be impacted by the wind more, etc. Plus, you also technically require planning permission for a dish that size.

I guess it also depends on how big a dish the other half let's you get away with. 😂

I went from having a 1m motorised dish on the wall of the house to having it on a pole in the garden but 7e was always difficult at times, I am in the south midlands.

I am not far from you and have a 1m dish, I get a reasonable amount on 7e but the alignment of the dish needs to be spot on.
