Best options for 2022/2023 Sesaon

I got the following comparison from another forum. I tested "See Dansk" and was getting 13Mbps, so it along with the other Danish channels like TV3 seem to be the best.

Prima wasn't on this list, but when I tested it was around 11Mbps. Prima is due to start broadcasting on 39e soon, so another good option for people.

CANAL+ HD Astra 19
11.2Mbps

Diema Sport 2 HD
11Mbps

CANAL+SPORT HD Astra 23
9Mbps

CANAL+SPORT 2 HD Hotbird
8Mbps

Novasports Hotbird
5.6 Mbps

Arena sports Eutel 16
5.8Mbps

Eleven sport 1 HD
5.5Mbps

Diema Sport 2 HD HellasSat 39
5.2Mbps

Sport 1 HD Amos
5.1Mbps

Super Sport Eutelsat 16
4.9Mbps

Digi Sport 1 HD Rom Thor
4Mbps

Edit:

The Danish channels are on a beam that is tough to get in Europe/Middle East, but easy in UK:
Thor 5 at 0.8°W - LyngSat Maps

I had a really low ecm on this channel, and no break ups at all, probably very few are watching during the football.

Sorry did not get what you tested? What does this speed refers to in term of Mbps. Is this on sat or on IPTV stream ?

Did you mean Signal strength on sat which is measured in different unit I think and not in Mbps ?

No this is the bitrate of the Sat channel. I installed "bitrate viewer" plugin to see this. You can also check it in VLC.

Pretty much means the same as in IPTV, 9 times out of 10 higher bitrate will mean a sharper picture.

Which image you are using. I installed Biterate viewer in Vix but it shows only Audio rate and nothing for video.

See this picture for bbc hd

I'm on Vix too. The plugin doesn't work for me on IPTV channels, but does on Sat and Terrestrial channels.

I checked bitrates myself during the early Sunday kickoff. Results are as follows:

== 23e ==
Canal+ Sport (CZ)

8.2Mbps

== 19e ==
DAZN Es

4Mbps
CANAL+ France
6.2Mpbs

== 16e ==
SuperSport 2 Albania

4.7Mbps
Arena Sport 1 Croatia
5.8Mbps

== 1.9e ==
Diema Sport 2

7.2Mbps

== 1w ==
See Denmark

8.3Mbps

Prima Sport 4 Romania
5.4Mbps

So best quality is between the Danish channels and Canal+ Cz. The Canal+ CZ channels seem to be a bit more stable, and show more matches, so this seems to be the best bet.

I watched the late kickoff on Canal+ CZ with Budweiser plugin for 5 live commentary and it was perfect. I did notice there is an extra 5 or 6 second delay on Canal+ Cz and the internet radio stream was a good bit ahead. The offset in Budweiser worked well for this though.

One thing I should have said, these bitrates are Video bitrates only. Having multiple audio channels does not affect this.

This is also the average bitrate. You could have 2 channels with a similar average bitrate, but with different min/max bitrate settings, the picture can be very different. 1 may look good in close up shots, and the other better for wide shots.

Avg is good for general testing. If you are not convinced or don't notice the difference in quality, put on Dazn Es next match before switching to Canal+ Cz. Both are "HD" channels, but the difference in night and day.

Yeah, mine was 650!

The BBC radio channels are the only ones I can get to work properly. Have you had any luck with TalkSport?

Yeah, I've tried those settings, but it doesn't work on my box.

There is no real logic behind the problem, I can use the "e2url" type for Radio 1, but it doesn't work for Talksport or Radio5.

I've tried 3 or 4 different streams for TalkSport and none work. I also can't get the IPTV type to work.

What image are you running? I'm on Vix and think a change to OpenATV may help. If not probably hardware related (AX HD61).

I'm using openvix 6.2.002.

I've also got it installed on another receiver on openvix 5 but it doesn't work on that so I'm gonna update that receiver and try it again
