Cannot get any VM channels!!

Hey folks, noob here. Setup seems okay, i have a cable running from my splitter into the H2H RF (via a coax plug to f socket adapter). I flashed the box with wooshbuild. Configured tuner b with my network id (tried both for birmingham) and then configured AutoBanquets provider as forums (only selected yes virgin uk ) and added the same network id here.

I then did a scan and it found 380ish channels and 30ish radio but this seems to be default. However, i can't see any channels, no program details etc i tried the freeview sd channels). I also added an Nline via filezilla and still the same. I don't even think i can check to see if there is any signal coming into the box from the virgin cable, but i don't see why that would be a problem as the connection is fine.

Any help?

If nothing is coming through on the SD channels of 1-5 on cable then it's an issue either with the way you've set the box up or how it's wired up.

Please tell me you used a quality splitter and cables? :)
 
The splitter is the standard VM one. The cable i used is basically a cable the VM engineer left because i told him i need a long cable (5m). So a really long wire he just took out his van
 
How long have you had the cable? could it have been damaged by bending it? ... just thinking of solutions for you mate that's all.

If you go into tuner config via the menu, there's a signal finder in there that will tell you if you're getting any signal.

Ahhh! No signal 0% 0.0 db . Not really sure why that cable isn't working, seems okay and the copper seems fine, hmm!. Do you recommend any? I will try and get something tomorrow and let you know!

it would only be either of the top 2 as the others dont appear on the autobanquets area when searching through the areas
 
So i carried my tv and zgemma to the next room (where the router is) and used a smaller vm cable to connect to the box and the box was getting signal! i then used the cable i was using previously and that worked too! No idea what i actually did but everything is now working
