Guys,

I've got a really bizarre issue that's only just started. My box is Phono cabled out to a switch box which then feeds two tellys in other rooms. All's been fine and works great for months.

Yesterday after I did a full rebuild of the latest firmware I started to have the following issue.

Upon booting the VSKIN logo comes up on the other tellies - it's red and in colour. Half way through boot up the screen goes to snow, comes back and everything's in black and white....and pretty fuzzy.

The box continues to load and everything stays in Black and White. On the main telly via HDMI everything is fine no issues at all.

Can't be the splitter box/aeriel system it's running through as it starts off in Colour with no issues, and my other box running on the switch box (freesat) is fine and runs in colour so I know cabling is fine!

Any ideas?

Try changing the resolution from 1080p to 720p I left it on 1080 by default

menu. setup, video, basic settings
go to mode and press right to change

Fab, was left on 1080i rather than 1080p,all fixed and watching to see if we are all boned when Trump wins....

Hi dsayers, Im running your old image on openvix im looking at changing to this image, do I need to factory reset the box or can I just flash your new image over the top via usb? thanks
 
Just flash over the top via usb never factory reset the box it always seems to reset and just causes issues

No just flash with another usb then you don't need to reinitialis the usb that your already using especially if you have any recordings etc on it

i've just setup my box and it's all working so thanks for the guide.
How would i change the current skin to a sky q skin with all the right picons?
 
Hi.
I'm using separate bouquets .one for vm & one for sly. Is there anyway to stop the unavailable hd channels to be replaced with vm hd channels ?
 
Hi all, complete newbie here so i need to post before i can this for the H.2h i have just ordered. Can i just ask which card sharing websites people use?
 
Thanks for the reply. So if i have virgin and sky feeds into my H.2H, do i need 2 subscriptions? Also want the EPG to look like sky so is this the right skin

Yes and yes. You can choose either VM or Sly skins

I'm an idiot, but bear with me, I'll get it in the end - maybe.

Still trying to work out why I can't set some Sly channels. My suspicion has always been that the dish doesn't work. If I check the signal, Tuner A is great, 100% SNR, 90% AGC (whatever they mean), no BER though, again, whatever that means. Tuner B - nothing. I'm certain I've got it connected properly, the cable (which is a twin cable) is brand new because the old one had been cut off when I cancelled Sly years ago, and was connected to the dish by a TV engineer. I don't think he actually tested the dish itself and he didn't ask any questions about what was I doing because I told him not to. He just provided the cable and left me with enough to get to the box.

If I go to Atlantic, I get nothing. Go up to W HD, the line is there perfect. GOLD - nothing via the Sly EPG, but ok if I Go to VM. Scroll down to ITV Encore - nothing again. Then there's a lot of blank channels, but like GOLD I get them via VM.

Is there anything I can check to see if it's something I've done, or is my only option to get an engineer out to check the dish itself? Just don't want to fork out for someone and find it's me that's doing something wrong.
 
sorry if this is the wrong thread to ask in but not sure what to search on.
is there a way to change which tuner a channel uses? i've got sly and vm cables connected but only using a vm sub. Boxnation and SkySpBoxOff are using dvb-s but i'd like these to use dvb-c instead. Looking at the bigger picture only want to use sly for freesat channels and vm for everthing else.

In autobouqetesmarker providers change sky uk and roi to no and virgin uk generate sections bouquets to yes then rescan
