Zgemma's made there name through cost alone, a lot of people are price driven buying cheap thinking it's all going to end soon. Buy a decent quality receiver and enjoy watching TV.If the Edison is the better box, why does the ZGemma far outsell it?
I'd love to see your sales figures to back up this claim? If the Edison is the better box, why does the ZGemma far outsell it?
Cost alone? The Edison box is like £20 more.... not even that. Zgemma offers a lot of functionality for the money, and that's why it's popular, but my point is, if the Edison was significantly better, it would significantly outsell the Zgemma and I don't believe it.Zgemma's made there name through cost alone, a lot of people are price driven buying cheap thinking it's all going to end soon. Buy a zgemma and enjoy contributing to the forum ;-)
Here's the problem... you're not really convincing me. Arguably better? Come on. We need a bit more than that.As Dangerous said Zgemma came onto the martket with inexpensive boxes plus this site is associated with Zgemma brand.
However, for whatever reason the new Zgemma boxes are not far off the price mark of tit's competitors such as the Edison which arguably is a better box. Moreover, if purchased from the official outlet the Edison comes with 2 year warranty.
I'm not going to knock the Zgemma because they serve a purpose and are decent boxes in their own right but as mentioned above if it's pound-for-pound value there are now other (superior?) alternatives.
As a guide:
IF your budget <£100 then Zgemma or Edison osmini
if your budget >£100 and <£200 then Technomate , Edison OSMega, Xtrend 8500, Miraclebox
If >£200 then Mutant HD51, New Octagan 4K or VU+
anything else get an Amazon firestick :)
Edision OS mini combo is a twin tuner that has both sly & cable similar to the H2H
