WilloBuild Error: Cannot flash kernel, because no kernel file was found

Hello,
Has anybody come across this when flashing a zgemma box.
Error: Cannot flash kernel, because no kernel file was found
Thanks Darren

I think something has changed on the ViX download page.
@grog68 your flash vix script now brings up the list of manufacturers but skips being able to choose the model.
It then gives the cannot flash kernel error.

is he using my script?
I will take a look when I get a chance.

ok will check it out. I know it changed a while back and I had to update the script then. Actually thinking about it, I might have just updated the GBFR script and not the VIX flashing script. I will double check LOL

What method and what image are you trying to flash?
Are you using grogs script in terminal?
Is there a initialised usb in the box?

No don't factory reset your box you say you've formatted usb but have you mounted and initialised the usb in the box

see the above posts by willobuild and I, Willobuild uses a moded version of my script to flash vix and it appears something has changed and the vix script is not working, when I get the time I will sort it but can't say when that will be

Not sure if there's a VIX image you can download for that box but @Willo3092 will know.
There's openatv image you can download and unzip, put the unzipped zgemma folder on formatted usb and into powered off box.
Power on and hold the standby button until it starts flashing, then take your finger off standby button

@grog68

I don't know if this throws any light on things:
