Just had a big popup ad that I could not get rid of so I'm afraid this updated version is no better than the many others out there full of ads. 😡😡😡😡😡

When I'm watching a show or film the screen freezes and then a message comes up playback failed.
If I go back and start the film again the play freezes at exactly the same moment. It will do this on other stream links too.
It will do this several moments throughout the movie.
The only workaround is to skip forward before the time stamp reaches where it stopped before. If you do that it will continue playing until the next stop point.

Would this indicate that there was a pop up ad scheduled to appear at the stop point and the Filmplus software engineer has removed the ad but the playback still stops?

I have tried different proxy servers and no proxy but no difference. My firestick has been reset several times. It has been happening for a few weeks now across 2 versions of Filmplus.

Anyone else had this issue?
 
I had this version working but suddenly no matter what I do I cannot get this version to play any streaming links. When I select a link and hit play the screen goes black for a moment and then goes back to the program title page.
I think it is related to the media player.
I have it set to bear player but none of the other players work either.
I think I may have had it set to bplayer before but I can't work out how to do that as it's not one of the menu options in settings.

I rolled it back to V2.2.0 and it works perfectly, but there is a limited selection of streaming links.

What version of bear player are you using as ive no issues here.
 
is there a link for bear player on the forum ,, after installing filmplus latest and selecting bear player from the settings the download stays at zero percent ..

Updated Bear player to 2.20.12 but no difference!

Anyone got a link to the earlier version of Filmplus? It was working quite well.

This version will not install over the 2.3.7r version. You have to uninstall it before installing 2.3.5r.
Of course that means that I've lost most of the data from the previous version including most of my favourites and all my watched lists. I tried backing them up before the installation but the buggy app wouldn't let me!

But at least I have a working app again!
 
Really thinking of trying one of the other similar apps instead of filling up my favourites list again on this one.
Or are they just as buggy?
