Download FilmPlus-Latest

I still have it closing after a time, but it's enough time for me to find an episode, pick a source and get maybe 45s into it. Once it's playing, it's fine. It did look as if one of the updates had fixed it, but the issue came back. I haven't had chance to narrow down the circumstances - for a while I thought it was fine until I cast the screen from my tablet to the TV, but that's not it.

I've installed the latest version 2.4.3r1 from the above link, and unfortunately my "Film Plus has stopped" message now appears after a couple of seconds, while it's still drawing the opening screen with the "trending" list. Going back to 2.4.2r allows me to see the list and pick stuff from it - and as I try it now it's just carrying on working, where normally it would end after a minute or two.

Maybe we're just reaching a point where the age of the device isn't compatible any more. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 with Android 5.1.1.

I must remember to regularly save my favourites and watched programmes before doing updates.

2.4.2r continues to work for me, but it does give the "Film Plus has stopped" message a short time (~1m) into watching something, though I can live with that as it waits long enough for me to select something. Subtitles don't seem to work any more - I can choose "play with subtitles", it'll present a list of subtitle options, but pressing any of them doesn't result in play starting, it just sits at that menu.

Regarding saving my favourites and watched programmes, unfortunately that fails straight away and closes Film Plus. When I get a minute I'll revert to a previous version and see if the subtitles come back, but I need to finish a couple of series off first so I don't have to try to remember where I was.

One final strange thing is that, for some reason, it seems to default to playing the series "Dahmer" when I haven't selected it. Trying to watch the final two episodes of "Cross" last week, I watched one thinking "weird, this must be some sort of flashback sequence and we'll return to present day soon, or some familiar character will appear" but nothing. I started jumping forward through it, and at the end the title "Dahmer" appears at the start of the credits. Last night I thought I'd watch the first episode of "Entourage" as I haven't seen it for ages, picked a source, was a bit surprised it was 49m as I thought it was a 30min broadcast length, started watching it and that was another episode of Dahmer. This week I went to watch that same episode of "Cross" and it played correctly, but thought I'd watched it as it started playing at the end credits. Must be some sort of mix-up somewhere. As an ex IT bloke it intrigues me, and that's the only reason I mention it.
