Framerate issue

I've got a zgemma h17 combo and set it up with the suggested willobuild setup. Everything runs fine and i've set most of it up BUT I'm having an issue at the moment where the 4K channels are either low in framerate or look like its glitching/flickering.

Also when changing from HD to 4K, the screen goes black and brightness decreases.

I've tried changing HDR setting etc. etc. on my TV (Samsung) so it doesn't automatically do this but no prevail.

Can anyone help?

Unless your device and TV support QMS then you will temporarily see a black screen when changing frame rates.

As for brightness issues that can be caused my having the brightness settings for SDR content set high or a high brightness mode is selected and then when the TV switch’s to HDR it may be a mode where the brightness is set for movies like filmmaker mode or similar.
Try the different modes for SDR and HDR as they have individual settings and modes for each dynamic range.

I have the contrast colour issue on HDR channels.

When switching to HDR channels the whole screen dims even in menus

I just put this down to a cheap TV given to me 😂

I'm not so bothered about the darkness/hdr issue, its more the fact the 4K content is around 25fps and glitchy instead of 50/60fps which it would be on the likes of a firestick etc. I know i could just use that instead but I prefer the usability of my zgemma.

The only 4k content I see with low frame rate is movies and TV shows.
Live is usually 50/60fps with iptv anyway.
