looking help linking two routers

Looking help linking 2 routers together. I have tried everything I can think of. my main router is sky sr102 and the one i waant to add to it is a nighthawk any help will be appreciated

Switch wifi off on sr102 connect ethernet cable to lowest lan port, and to wan port on nighthawk ( ASUS) in my case, is all I did here then you have 7 ports to wire to.

Normally you would disable DHCP on the old router and let the new one issue the IP addresses.

Without checking, are these simple routers, or modem routers,?
As above, if they are modem routers you need to turn off modem mode and DHCP on secondary router.
