So how are you expecting to get to view TV without a provider. The app is free but not the viewing content.

You can't change the mac address on a mag box it's pre configured to that mac assigned to the box.
With stb emu pro you can change the mac as its just an emulator of mag boxes

Not possible as mac code needs to be added by provider

It is possible to change the MAC address on a MAG box. However, it is just a "soft" change and on first reboot it reverts to the original hardcoded value which is stored in a read only part of memory. So in reality, as already stated, it is not possible.
