menu setup to change 1080p black screen

Do you mean that the output of the box is set to 1080p and your TV doesn't support it?
If so the video settings are in Menu > Setup > Video > Basic Settings

you could always reflash or take the box to a friend's whose tv supports the 1080p & change it to correspond with your tv's resolution

I assume your tv will only run at 720. You need to plug the box into a 1080 tv and change the boxes hdmi output to 720. Thats what happened to me and it fixed it. I was getting sound only.

Give me 20 minutes and if you are on OpenATV I will tell you the button presses.

If anyone can do this before I reply, please do. There is no need to plug it in somewhere else if we can give him the right button presses to get it to 720.

for the way my box is setup, this maybe different to yours

menu
Setup (5)
video (1)
basic settings (1)
down to mode (down arrow twice)
mode (left arrow once for 720p)

or to change video out put to scart
menu
Setup (5)
video (1)
basic settings (1)
left or right arrow once


can you not get to in by computer, tablet or phone
type your ip in to the address bar? if you know the ip address
