Hi @kiddac, not sure if im doing this right or its a bug or a feature but im trying to turn off the picons on the Infobar (ok button), i go into setup/Usage&GUI/OSD Settings and turn Infobar Picons to OFF, it turns off MY picons on the infobar and at the top of the channel select (tv button ) window but it still shows your default slyk1 image on the infobar.

Also in the same menu (OSD Settings) when 'show time elapsed as positive' is set to yes the info bar actually shows it as - (negative), when changed to no is shows + (positive) looks like the menu settings are wrong way round.

Hi there
installed new skin and very impressed !

Slight problem is tsmedia does not work now, splash screen shows then just goes off
removed and reinstalled but still the same.

also check colour of button in swap file etc as blue buttons have no text

Any idea about tsmedia

cheers

i installed the latest file on mt pockets 4.2 - but after trying to reset gui after install new skin, I was stuck in a loop for a VERY long time - where it said box was closing down, eventually it did reboot, so for anyone else experiencing the same issue - BE PATIENT !

never had this problem, were you in the middle of a timeshift or recording at the time?

Unfortunately that is the way the skin is designed. It brings in the default icon or a picon. There was no room in the infobar to put it in there so it floats above it. And whats wrong with my logo ;)

It's so stupid all this elapsed, remaining, + and -. It is coded awfully. Just leave it as the default and the jobs a good un. ;)

I don't use TSmedia so this is not on my to do list yet. I haven't skinned any 3rd party plugins so I don't know why it's conflicting with it. When I have finished all the proper bits poor old me is going to have to install all these crappy plugins and see if there are any problems. Unfortunately for now my only recommendation is to use a skin that works with TSmedia if you think my skin is causing problems with it. (oh to go back to an old skin after my nice clean one. the agony)

Yeah it's strange some of the fallback default skin doesn't have text on the buttons. There are a few buggy screens. An obvious one is the ipk package installer. Which you should all have seen installing my skin ;) Like most things if its just got the bog standard default skin buttons, I haven't got round to that screen.

Thanks mate, your logos fine, just doesn't look right on the infobar (plus the wife was moaning lol) I done a dirty hack on the infobar.xml and removed the code for it so all good, well until the skin is updated but it's a quick fix.

Thanks.

We are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole here. It was a compromise for everyone that used picons and wanted them on the infobar. Personally I don't use picons, sky doesn't use picons but people with enigma2 boxes are used to picons. Unlike some of the other skins I have purposely separated all the XML files into separate files, if people don't like something, they should hopefully be able to find it in the relevant xml and edit to their own personal preference.

Tonight I have still been plodding along through the menus in sequence.

Boring things tonight that are probably not going to appeal to most people.

Timer Conflict screen skinned.
Cron Timers skinned
AutoTimer screens skinned.
Hotkey setup screen skinned.

If anyone wants an upload tonight, just holla.

You don't need to extract it just ftp the file to tmp then follow rest of the instructions from post one

I WANT to unzip it. Sometimes I prefer to FTP the whole folder rather than install an ipk. depends on the situation.

Visually there isn't a lot left to do. (although for completeness there is a lot left to do... it just goes on and on forever ). Every update though I am getting closer to the finishing post. It's just a case now of fitting everything into the templates I am using. A slow and tedious process. Although annoyingly simple once all the positioning is worked out. A few of the tuner pages might have something different, I don't know until I get stuck into them

What still needs doing from the top of my head.

Network screens
Tuner Screens
Media / Movie / dvd / enhanced Movie Center screens. These will probably be all skinned the same. ( I know people are eager for these pages, but it's not something I use so I am unfamiliar with them. I would have to spend some time faffing with various movies/recordings to see what the pages are all about. That's why I am stalling on them)
Wizard screens - (if I can be bothered)
Software Installation screens.
VIX specific screens
File Browser / Console / job view screens.
Popular plugins like Autobouquets, ext number zap, cache flush, etc etc
And possibly adding in the EPG moving tabs to replicate sky. (Not that I personally think they are needed but is something I will look in to)

I was going to ask if you where consider doing the ext number zap, only reason I use it is I can set time it takes to zap as the kids and wife don't like the default one but I don't to need now lol, iv hacked it myself and have it looking eh just like your default version (I cheated and used your code)

** New file added to the dropbox folder on first post. V1.4 **

nothing new has been added that isn't already mentioned in this post, but I fixed the screens displaying incorrectly that weren't skinned. i.e missing button text and wonky layouts.
I have just been through every menu and its now 99% fixed. In fact I don't even have to skin anymore screens :fear:

Oh noooo :(
You are not going to skin the Recordings/Movies/File List screen?
and the Playback infobar
Please??
Those of us with twin tuner recordable boxes would love it
