Just got back from work and missed all the chit chats.. I am one of them people who observe in the background. I love this forum & admire the aspirations that's put in, to build something which you can put your name on it. I am way up there with bangord30 on the likes :)

But how do i make backup of this to install on my other boxes without having to change all my preferred settings ?

I am looking to make boot flash image but only get>image>kernel>roots ?

should there be force and splash file also

I have skinned all the the network adapter plugin screens. Inadyn, telnet, openvpn etc etc. This was a big chunk of work and means I have very little left to do now. ( I keep saying that every week ... and I am still here).

I have also reduced the icons that appear on the message box so the bottoms not cut off anymore.

Tomorrow is my last testing day on VIX, as I have to retest everything on OpenATV. So once again... can anyone with a bit of spare time go through everything and everthing on your boxes (especially VIX people). Let me know if something isn't skinned or broken.

Tomorrow I plan on doing the automounts screens, IMDB, Auto screen size box and a few other little stragglers. And anything you guys find.
When I reach V2.0 that will be the final version, that will be all folks (so get your last minute shouts in). The end is very near.

Might just wait till version 2.0 as that will be the complete bundle.

Version 1.73 is working a treat and looks fantastic!
 
Found a issue with VIX in menu select front panel display then skin setup and VIX crashes

seems to still do it on default skin too?

goto menu then plugins then click red to remove plugins go down to skins and click on the skin to remove 👍

not sure if skin related but i get this in movie file

when i push the epg button it gives the name of a program that is not on but if i push the down button to goto the boutique or the OK button it gives the right program name anyone know how to correct this
 
Your zgemma doesn't have a front panel display as such. Some boxes allow graphics on the display. This is obviously coded badly in the zgemma so nothing you can do will fix the front-panel page crash. Just dont click it. :)

Found a fix for this to display clock on front panel of VIX all the time

Press portal on your remote. Then press green for download plugins
Then click on extensions. Then look for permanent vfd clock Then it should appear in plugin menu and open it and turn the two options from false to true and restart

just found if you have parental control turned on VIX movie / file list screen crashes after pin entry not sure if its the skin but worth a check
 
ive just noticed this while intialsing a new hdd that i got today. on the convert ext3 to ext4 screen the 4 of ext4 is obscured with the green button icon

Here are my full VIX edits that make this skin look and work great on VIX

VIX SETTINGS

Menu... setup...system...user interface...position setup...user interface visibility
and change the settings to 255 and adjust your screen to fit with the other options on this screen.

show colums.. 200 pixels wide

I have amended the epg timeline date cutting off, by removing the alignment and the font size. Now it just left aligns. So might say 'Wednesday 18th Novemb' which is better than 'nesday 18th November'. I have also removed the font-size in my code so the menu option to change the timeline font size now works. So you can tweak to your own personal preference.

As for the movie list crashing on parental control, it seems the author is aware of this. As written on an openpli forum

Thanks for reporting... Please allow me some time for the fix... I'm currently not able to push the fix...
It is caused by the latechanges. pinEntered was a now function added to Movielist... And it takes over the one in the protected screen class... i need to use a different name or so for the pinEntered function in movielisf or move it into the filecheck function....

How can we remove the text:

"*set the number of rows to 8 in menu settings"


Also, I noticed that when playing back media stored on the digibox/network drive, long file names end up blending into the time as shown below.

The letter "N" has turned into an "I" that clashes into the time

I have a custom setup from scratch and this Skin has massively increased the speed and responsiveness of it. At worst I get very occasional lag after key presses but it's a massive improvement over the metrixhd skin I was using previously.

Yep i gave up with openatv its just not responsive enough. So i am now using vix and its allot better so far i have set it up from scratch so only required plugins installed and its always allot more responsive.
