Thanks Kiddac I've got your skin working now and all looking good.

I followed your complete set-up guide for zgemma 2s on a new H2.S and its all working perfectly.

How can I change some channel numbers on the EPG? e.g Channel 5 HD is set to 5 but doesn't work FTA so want to revert that one to be SD channel 5, I know I can undo them all with the swap channels command under autobouquets / providers but I want to keep FTA HD like BBC1 HD as channel 1.

Also If you could shed any light on the hack to get channel numbers on the EPG aswel that would top it
 
You need to change to your area custom in providers not sd or HD
For for channel numbers on epg start a new thread and I'll help you

Bug fixes

Subtitles causing black screen on plugins and movie list now fixed.
AGC value added to signal finder.

main-templates.xml/movies.xml
movie list title changed from box office to planner to stop everyone moaning.

Files listed above if you just want to extract and update individual files in case you have added some of the skin extras and don't want to do it again.

just tried 7zip its same its not showing as a zip file i cant even right click it and choose to open with any of the zip programmes

well i had it working on VIX, becuase that is what I tested and skinned crossepg on.

I have been in the EPG menu and it does not offer CrossEPG - I am on OpenATV, i have a brand new box that i just put ur skin on,, do i need to add something else ??
 
cross epg doesnt work well with atv follow kiddacs guid in his dropbox account or try mtpokets backup

tried renaming to ipk to rar and its saying file is damaged just re downloading now and then im going to install the ipk and re add epg tabs thanks

Yeah I looked for ages for it under infobar somewhere but couldn't find it. Oh well.

the general.xml file I edited with the code you put here, but the new one on your dropbox seems different. Is there anything else you added to the general.xml?

How do I create an ipk file from the folder of the skin (I adjusted some xml files to change titles etc)?

Also, anyone know how to hack the EPG to show channel numbers?

there in my skin folder now as seperate files. People who buy me beers get preferential treatment ;)

johnjohn can you please stop asking about numbers on EPG. just use google and find the files. World of satellite is a good place to look for that crap. But the files I found crashed my box, just a warning.
 
you dont need to create ipk you can ftp the slyk 1 folder to /usr/share/enigma2 that's all we did with the beta version

for the channel numbers ive gone through it with someone else in another thread like kiddac said it does slow down your box i used it for about 3 weeks

just copy them 3 xml files that are now in my dropbox/skin folder and override the ones in my skinfolder on your box. Restart gui. jobs a good un.
 
Cheers for the update kiddac not that I was having any issues anyway but the agc added to the signal finder is good to have. Now will you please stop adding little fixes, you told me you wasn't gunna do it anymore! Lol
 
dsayer for future reference to open an ipk with 7zip. Right click your IPK. click open with.... goto C:\Program Files\7-Zip and choose 7zfm.exe (the file manager), I think it defaults to console by default which doesn't do a lot.

The subtitling thing was bugging me. I had to try and fix that, the others were just stragglers from the last weeks messages. There isn't anything else being reported so I think that might be it. Plus this thread is like a ghost town now the project is finished. I have been abandoned. The bar has run dry. :( So its back to ungreatful gits on the main forum, that don't even thank you or acknowledge you when posting answers to help. Keeps me busy though until the next secret project is revealed. ha ha
 
Kiddac just a quick post to say thanks for the Skin, it's that good all the boxes that I'm sending to customers are having it as a default. Thanks for all the hard work dude.

I know that, I am quite familiar with things like that.

I want to know how to ake an ipk file as I tend to update friend's digiboxes using an ftp app on my phone, those of my annoying friends who dont own a laptop and only have tablets lol.
When trying to ftp several files using my phone, it doesn't work well, crashes, freezes.ftp
if I could ftp an ipk it is SO much easier for those people.

What is the simplest way to create an ipk from the slyk-1-hd folder, i don't want to replace all the xml files every time i add this skin to a friend's box, would rather make an ipk from the folder for this and future use.
