After the above , cheap one , currently have a Yi outdoor cam ( hacked ) using VLC to view.

Not go a clue what to get , possible ideas for black friday

I've got one of these mate. Works off 5ghz, my reason for buying. Takes micro sd, runs off usb C cable. Picture quality is very good, no sub needed. We're cheaper than this befor though... Paul

I have used a lot of cams. Started with battery powered Netgear Arlo, then moved to Eufy, now I have custom system using Amcrest cameras. My biggest gripe was not being hardwired and constantly letting the battery run out and not wanting to charge and replace every few months.

Look at Reolink and Eufy for black friday, they usually run good deals. Consider the solar panel upgrade if you aren't inclined to run ethernet or power to them.

I use Eufy and Tapo battery powered cameras with solar a panel the battery is always fully charged The Tapo i use is a TC82 kit very impressed £49.99 atm

Reolink is a solid option. They have had regular promos since Black Friday for cameras (WiFi and PoE), Doorbell and NVRs. Remember to also buy a PoE switch.
No subscriptions, an easy to use mobile App - setup custom alerts for any motion, person, vehicle and Doorbell press

I've still not decided what to get , too difficult to choose 😭. Recently had someone banging on the window and front door in the middle of the night , messing about not sure , they appear to arrive in a car and sped off , it's a terraced house so what's the best solution and where to I stall.

Thinking of getting an additional cam
Not much difference in price
Either a REOLINK
823A is £115.19
Trackmix PoE is £112.63

Which would you recommend

Got another cam (rear ). Reo 843a and Nrv arriving. The 820 is ok hope the 843 is better at night.

Anyone know if a solar spot light or any spot light would it improve night time recording.

I am absolutely not in anyway an expert in this but I would have thought a spotlight in the right position and not causing any glare would enhance the picture quality at night.

Just on this - do all of the solar\battery type cameras have the same config where they have a 10 second stop between recordings? I have 3 cameras (Cinnado 2k or something) which for the money are great and during the winter I have only had to charge them twice BUT and its typical it always seems to miss the important bit when the 10 second gap occurs :D nothing serious but its just annoying...
