Premier League Discussion

England midfielder Phil Foden, 22, has agreed a new long-term contract worth around £225,000 a week at Manchester City

WOW £225,000 a week

I’m back after a little time away

It’s a big year for Foden, he can make his mark on the City team and become a starter especially after Sterling left and Bernardo may leave too. He could also be crucial for England’s World Cup.

Let’s see how he reachs, hopefully doesn’t get sidetracked like last time with all those women

Fulham are set to sign Issa Diop on permanent deal from West Ham. Full agreement in place and new signing for Marco Silva.

Fee will be around £15m package, reports. Diop will undergo medical tests soon.

BREAKING: Manchester United have agreed a deal with Juventus to sign midfielder Adrien Rabiot

Nottingham Forest sign Switzerland's Remo Freuler from Atalanta, making him their 3rd signing within 24hrs

Everton have turned down a £40m offer from Chelsea for England Under-21 forward Anthony Gordon.

It is understood Chelsea are likely to come back with a higher offer in a bid to tempt Everton to sell the homegrown 21-year-old.

Everton should bite their hand off, when they come back with the next offer, 40 million plus for a player that has done nothing in the game as yet, yes he has potential, but so have hundreds of others in the past, who never hit the big time, personally I think it would be a waste of money for Chelsea, when there are other options there for them, just my own opinion, no doubt others will think he is the next big thing in the EPL only time will tell on that on that one.

He's very highly rated by Lampard, who has a good track record of bringing young players through. Needs to add goals and assists to his game - he carried Everton for most of last season but only with his work rate and ability to run with the ball..

Everton's asking price is supposedly £50m which imo would be a great piece of business for a player who hasn't even broken into the England squad, but if they're set on keeping him then the buyers have to pay what's demanded.

Morgan Gibbs-White has officially signed for Nottingham Forest on 6 year deal.

25m up front with 20m in addons, 10m of them should be achievable, the other 10m would be looked upon.

These include 5m if Forest get to Europe, and the remaining 5m is international appearances / goals

Looking like they have already spent their money from winning the play-offs, plus a big part of the guaranteed EPL money for the coming season, and thats before the players wages are counted in, suppose the way they look at it is, if they stay up then they dont spend as much next season and start to balance the books, and if they go back down then the parachute payments along with selling a few players will get them back on track financially, but it also seems that their new owner is willing to invest alot of money into the club.

Brendan Rodgers to be sacked in the morning.

Reports all over twitter and bookies slashing the price with some even closing the market

I actually think he will walk! Not being backed, no money.
I think the rest is gossip!

Everton midfielder Dele Alli has joined Turkish side Besiktas on loan for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.

The 26-year-old joined Everton from Tottenham in February and started one game in 11 appearances for the Goodison Park club last season.

He has made two substitute outings - in league defeats against Chelsea and Aston Villa - for the Toffees this season.

OGC Nice have signed Nicolas Pépé on a loan deal from Arsenal until the end of the season. No buy option included.

Dele Alli scored 18 goals in the premiership in 2016 and played for England , what went wrong? Something not right there, he's still only 26.

He was best playing on the left of a front 3 for Spurs. Can't remember who got injured, but they dropped Dele back into a deeper role where he was much less effective. Son then took up the position on the left of the front 3, struck up a great partnership with Kane and Dele had no chance of reclaiming the spot.

His best (arguably his only good) performance for Everton was when he came on as a HT sub against Palace playing just behind the striker - he ran the game second half with his link up play and probably kept Everton in the Premier League with his efforts that night. I expected Lampard to build his team around him this season but he obviously hasn't seen enough to warrant that.

Everton actually got him on a structured deal that meant they paid spurs nothing up front and were due to pay £10m when he made 20 appearances - he's left on 13 appearances on loan with an option to buy for £8m, of which Spurs will get 25% so it's potentially a shrewd bit of business for Everton.
