Should Gary Linekar be sacked by the BBC for his latest political comments?

I am appalled that you think Linekar should be applauded for comparing the governments current plan with the actions of the Nazis. You are referring to the Holacaust are you serious? I believe in free speech but when you represent a national public funded organisation and you are the face of BBC Sport this must be a breach of contract.
BUT he didn't compare the policy to Naziism, he compared the language surrounding the government stance to language the nazi party used to install fear in ordinary Austro/German population.
What your Government seems to be doing is taking attention away from the policy, and keeping it squarely at its detractors, be it the opposition, or indeed Lineker.
They have put forward a piece of legislation that they have admitted MAY be against international treaties (for may, read IS) so that they can blame others for not "allowing" GB to fix the problem.
Similarly the meeting with Macron today (I haven't seen the news today, so dont know how it went) your PM will say France wont cooperate with us in solving this problem, when in fact it is an EU wide problem, and France have no right to secure a bilateral agreement, it has to be renegotiated on an EU basis.

Interesting development today, Lineker taken off MOTD for discussions on his social media activity. Ian Wright has also withdrawn from MOTD in solidarity.

Ian Wright to miss Match of the Day after Gary Lineker is suspended – live
Shearer as well , both him and Wrighty have informed the BBC that they won't be appearing on the show this weekend after , Linekar was withdrawn from saturday night's show. Good on the pair of em.

Alex Scott, Mark Chapman, Jermaine Jenas and Micah Richards have also said they won't be appearing on the show.

It doesn't matter who they get to present it.
It's a simple rule for all BBC presenters, - don't go shouting your mouth off all over the internet.
If he's happy to take a massive hit to his income in order play the SJW then that's up to him.
He can take the role full time and buy a tent and go camping in Callais with his followers, it'll be Greenham Common all over again, that worked in removing all nuclear weapons from the UK. :cautious:

Does that apply to Lord Alan Sugar too or is he still allowed to milk the licence payer while voicing his political opinions on social media?

He doesn't work for the BBC.
He's freelance, same as Lineker, so if they wanna make a c**t out of themselves on Twitter, and then the BBC decide not to use them again, that's all fine and above board, I won't be shedding any tears over either of the overpaid talentless twits

Right-o. Great debate.
What's the title of this thread?

Should he be sacked for spouting his gob off about something he's not supposed to.

Yes he should be binned off, he's paid to talk rubbish about football.
He signed a contract saying he'd keep away from social media when he's had a few shandies and then broke that contract.
It doesn't matter what you think about government, asylum seekers, MPs or anything else, this is beside the point.

He broke his contract.

Should he be sacked.

Yes

You can't be sacked if you're freelance.

You made the thread, why did you use the word sacked?
He can be relieved of his duties and a few million quid.
I'm sure he'll never be seen riding a bike or queueing up at a food bank but he'll be free to draw comparisons between the murder of a million Jews to the economic requirements of a few thousand lazy scroungers
