Wel the fact you now have a splash screen means its trying to flash, Maybe try openatv 6.0 as i set up a zgemma LC 3 days ago and that had never been updated from new. Around the same time as the h2h those two came out.
 
Try my backup although I don't think it will work but it's an older image with less bloatware compared to latest ATV stock images.
 
I had one a while back I dont know if you remember but I had to bin it
Got in touch with the Zgemma guys and they said something had gone on it but cant remember exactly what it was now
No matter what I tried or what I did I couldn't bring it back either

Thats what I'm thinking tried pli vix openatv dsayers backup image got box ip address but just won't connect to webwif ect
 
Have you tried via putty, I know its the same thing but I did a box a few week ago and that wouldnt connect to webif
but would connect with putty.
Just thinking with you having the ATV splash screen on maybe worth a try
 
If you can do it via putty stick a storage device that has been initialized in box and try grogbuild freerange or grogbuild flash ATV command
