there is no need to back up my skin, unless you are tinkering with the actual files in my slyk1hd folder. /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd
Messing with any other settings on your box does not change anything in the skin files.

yes you can just copy that entire slyk-1-hd folder and save it some where if you wish. Copy it back when needed. You would then just have to choose the skin again in skin setup and reboot gui.

And to backup what woosh is saying. My skin is not an image. Wooshes build is the image with my skin installed.
Do a full backup of your entire image if your planning on trying to break something.

the best mentor there is... is this entire forum... read all posts whether you think they are relevant or not. You will learn something new every day. Whether its the technical side of things off free-uk and lincsat, old school things off the likes of tich, bees and cactikid, vix stuff off dsayer and the likes, the constant faffers that are always finding something new to break and fix like no1gooner, johnjohns, p17blo, skins and atv off me....and of course woosh blah, blah, blah Sorry woosh I am going a bit off topic on your thread. I will be quiet now.
 
hi just having trouble this build is amazing but its now stuck on the wooshbuild logo and u cant do anything,, does anyone know why its happened or anything that i can do to get it off, many thanks

It did work and now doesn't?
Have you checked your sat cable connections?
What happens if you remove any USB devices and or SD card?
How about if you press the menu button or EPG button?

Or it is stuck on a number on the front display? Looping?
 
Wooshman I've managed to follow all your clear instructions, all I have is small black screen from s-y 1, my laptop screen matches yours also so don't know what I've done wrong, the lions has been extended from suppliers so I'm sure it's not that, could you please advise nicnicxx
 
HELP!! I have followed your guide right up to putting my line on the box but nothing happens? The computer displays the black box and appears to load, I then get the message 'if no errors you can close this box' As I have no errors I close the box and move on to the zgemma, choose sky1 and continue to follow instructions to select cccam 1 to cccam.2.3.0, press green......nothing happens????
 
Thanks guys, image already backed up. Not planning on messing with the skin. Just wanted a straight forward process for for reinstalling the skin on a base image.

NicNic I think you were sent a newcamd.list file and an mg_cfg file. Both of these get copied into the Put line on box folder. Then as you have, run the line_installer file. Then you go into the softpanel and in cam1 select mgcamd_1.38r1 using the left and right arrows. You can now press the red button to stop and then the green button to start. Make sure you have Sky1 as your channel and not Sky1 HD

pamet_22 If you are choosing cccam.2.3.0 I presume you have either a C: or N: line ? If this is the case, press the red button and then the green button to start the cam again. If your line starts CWS you need to do the same as NicNic above.

Let me know how you both get on.

Sounds like the line didn't get sent across correctly. Try and manually ftp your line details across to your box. I used dcc, make sure you restart your cam once you do it.

That's fine NicNic, as long as your file replaces the one already in the folder it should work.

A successful line transfer will mean your black window looks like this:

Is there one already in the folder that I have to delete? Yes my black window looks exactly like that,pleas let me know about other line .. Cheers

Yes, in the folder called put your line on box is a few files, one of them is newcamd.list. This must be replaced with the one your were sent via email.

You can delete it, or just replace it with the one you have.

my line starts N: I've even tried adding it via FileZilla but still no joy. I've used the line installer too and that runs properly with the black screen and everything but still no sky 1. When I choose Cccam 1 and select Cccam 2.3.0 or says underneath "active CAM 1: CCcam 2.3.0" ??
