Satellite Z-gemma H7s slow to change channels

Hi all.

I have a Z-gemma H7S which is starting to take a few seconds to change channels and move between IPTV channels and folders.
I have notice when i try to do an update on the zgemma it tells me no updates are available. It on pure 2 version 6.5 build 001.
It hasn't upgraded since 2023.

Not sure if this is the issue or how to fix it.
Any help would be appreciated.

With the H7, you have the option to have 4 different images. I suggest you put ATV 7.6 on one of the other slots and try that. I test all of the images as they come out and currently ATV i find to be the best.

Thanks. I have tried to flash on the fly but keep getting an error. Is there a bigger issue?

Never ever online update it causes real issues always best tot take a backup then reflash.

What plugin are you using for the iptv ?

Make sure you mount a usb in for extra storage. It should not be required with the H7s but it will not hurt.

Store EPG data to media/HDD and not internal memory.

If you have the buit-in hard drive then no need for a usb.

Gi into image manager - It should give you a choice of firmware to flash if i remember correctly on the pure 2 builds as been a long time since i used that.

Once you select the image to flash it should give you a choice of 4 slots

Select a spare one that is not being used

So upgrade using USB
This is on openvix imagine but it should be similar on the pure2 image. That's a custom build based on openatv so I can't be 100,% sure

Another option to flash a different slot

To get the recovery menu on a Zgemma H7S, you need to use the physical power button on the front of the box while turning it on.
Steps to Access the Recovery Menu:
  1. Power Off: Turn off the Zgemma H7S using the switch at the back.
  2. Locate Button: Ensure no other USB devices are plugged in. Locate the power button behind the front flap.
  3. Power On & Hold: Turn on the power switch at the back, and immediately PRESS AND HOLD the front power button.
  4. Wait for Display: Continue holding the button until "FLSH" (or sometimes "boot" followed by the menu) appears on the front display.
  5. Release: Release the button. The box should now boot into the recovery menu.
