GrogBuild Just updated to Grogbuild and now box wont do anything.

Appreciate it Grog but can't be breaking those lock down rules, don't think fixing zgemmas is classed as key work. I ordered a couple of smaller brand name USBs from amazon. Just in case it's somehow the sticks I have. All 3 are the same SanDisk cruzer blade 16gb and used them before with no problems but worth a shot anyway, even if it's just a case of ruling that out as the problem. Think with amazon deliveries though might be the end of the week before they're here.
I always used toshiba sticks and hdd and never had an issue.

Back again, one of the sticks was delivered today (Kingston 8gb). First thing I tried was to flash the box with open atv 6.4 but no joy. So I did what Urie suggested above, put the stick into the box and used Putty. I then used the command df to see if it was mounted and it was so I then used Flash ATV via command line from the creators GrogBuild FreeRange - Leading the way to simplicity and its been running for a while but it seems to have been stuck at this point :

There is a green box at the end, should I just leave it like this? Also the box hasn't responded so still just stuck on time on front and the screen is still just the grogbuild logo.

Can you not use software and reformat to ext4 in windows again put that usb in one of the ports. And use another usb to install openatv not grog buils for the moment, seem you are back to where you were before using grogs

I trying to think myself now when I tried grogsbuild if I was stuck on screen think I pressed TV button.
As i said not sure was trying out various builds on new zgemma h9 combo

you should be seeing 2 bars go accros the screen as the box flashes
Nothing has come on the screen except the grogbuild logo that's on from the moment I switch the box on and it loads up. Does that command look like it has worked going by what it says?

I'm not sure what you mean mate. Nothing has changed the box is still in the exact same state it has been for 2 days. I have been trying to flash it online with open atv, that's what that command should do if I'm not mistaken?

Sorry I thought it had installed but just went back to same way it was before

Naw mate. Just not sure what to do with putty thing just now. I don't know if its still running or if its crashed or supposedly done?

When you login to terminal, why does it say this:
login as: root
root@zgemmash1:~# df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
ubi0:rootfs 222144etc etc

When you login root
Paste in freerange command line and it will do its thing

That's just from the df command to see if it was mounted first.

Thought it may have rebooted when finished could you not try open webif at least with that you can reboot box

I cant open webif at all. Don't know why, tried it by using the name of the box and the ip. Just says page cannot be displayed.

is putty still running or has it timed out ? if its still running can you not type reboot into that ?
