Covid-19 the second wave

Well the sh1te has hit the fan 6 week lockdown stage 5 in Ireland from wednesday and garage may close in december

I thought that until I got it I’ve battling since Thursday morning
Started aches and pains then coughing head pounding when coughing, two days of that now it’s in my chest bear hugging and breathing is tight. It’s real it feels like it’s going then kicks In again! If you got underlying respiratory problems then can see why they have serious problems
That'll be me fecked then, I get out of breath making a cup of tea.

What gets me is, they say patients at local hospitals are now having appointments deferred and certain wards are now getting near capacity due to this second wave.

But answer me this,
Why the fffing hell are all these purpose built Covid wards lying empty but wards in hospitals that were originally turned into Covid wards are now at so called bursting point !!??. All bullocks if you ask me.

Its all abit like a Sunday roast, save the meat and gravy till last

Matt Hancock is Health Secretary. That's who the buck stops with for everything related to the NHS throughout this pandemic. And what a mess he's made of it.

Hancock really is a tool to put it nicely.

Also see stand off with mayor of Manchester and government over the financial resources being offered not being adequate when Manchester is put in to tier 3.

Typical behaviour from the trotsksyite Burnham and his ilk.
When his city's residents are dropping like flies he'll point the finger at the bourgeoisie tories.
Even though he's resisted everything for a week, infecting hundreds more in the meantime.
But it'll be Boris''s fault or anyone else other than him.
The people of Manchester aren't the knuckledraggers of the past. Burnham has as much future as a snowman.

Do agree in one sense with him in that the financial support being offered may not be enough for those who have low income jobs and huge amount who will be laid off and will struggle to get by.

We're in a pandemic.
If Manchester demands and gets an extra 50 million, every other town and city will demand the same, how long do you think society will survive when every penny in the economy is in the hands of corrupt local mayors?
If you think these people care about their citizens why are they allowing the virus to run free rather than curtailing it?
Save jobs or risk lives.
Jobs, jobs, jobs!
Except there'll be no one left to do the jobs if he keeps this up.

But it doesn't matter because it's all Boris''s fault you see :cautious:

I dont think it's a case of everyone free for all it's more about, if you ask us all to go back down into lock down then provide for us. If you ask us to stay at home make sure we have some coin to pay rent food utility bills.

Country goes into lockdown: Why are people panicking and overreacting, crippling the economy and costing jobs?

City Mayor refuses to go into lockdown: Why isn't he doing what the government tells him to and crippling the economy and costing jobs?

Some people are walking contradictions... anything but lay the blame at the feet of their beloved Boris.

I really dont get why politics always has to be dragged into it. Its so old really is.

Despise Boris and his cronies with a passion but do with most politicians full stop as most are trying to one up each instead of doing whats best for the people only care about feeding their own pockets.

It's the public's fault. Then it's the teachers fault. Then it's parents fault. Then it's the trade unions fault. Then it's the mayor's fault. Blame anyone for the way the country is being run as long as you don't blame the man who's running the country.

How's about we blame a non discriminate virus that travels faster than sh#t off a shovel.
You can't ask people to stay at home and not support them financially. Is Andy Burnbum still getting paid?. And I bet those f##kin universal credit payments still land in those alco and smackheads bank accounts next week

there is a difference between doing the bidding of the people & what is best for our countries GDP, business is the modern evil as it doesn't give a sh*te if large segments of the population suffer as long as profit is made (& then shared amongst the already wealthy)

Noo.
What the government should have done is make ONE decision on day one and never faltered from that even slightly.
One rule for every person and business in the UK.
Stick with that one rule no matter what.
Everything other than that one policy is a u-turn, confusing, bewildering and t'other side would have handled it better etc

Do find it funny when labour laid its plans for spending last year before the election there was an uproar as how that is feasible. Where will the money come from.

But of course tories have gone crazy with spending with all these financial support schemes since the virus came but no one bats an eye lid. Strange that

Either way if labour were in this position they also would be doing near enough the same things as the tories. All the same catering to the wealthy first and foremost but just the name of the party is different.

This has been pointed out numerous times but it doesn't seem to sink in.
Every country in the world has emergency plans in place for nuclear war, earthquakes, pandemics and a few other possible disasters.
If/when they strike, that plan is followed unopposed by any political party regardless of who is in power.

This was agreed by all parties when those plans were drawn up.

Trying to politicise it in here and on countless other forums is futile.

And trying to politicise it in order to further your career, as in Burnham's case, at the risk of people's lives is despicable.
90% of the country had never heard of him before this week.
What's the betting he stands for parliament in the next election?
Labour party should ban him for life after what he's done but they wont
