Premier League Discussion

West Ham will pay a club record £50.8m to sign Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta with the 24-year-old Brazil midfielder due to have a medical on Sunday

Manchester United have agreed a deal in principle with Newcastle for the signing of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka

Scott Parker sacked by Bournemouth

“I would like to place on record my gratitude to Scott and his team for their efforts during their time with us. Our promotion back to the Premier League last season under his tenure will always be remembered as one of the most successful seasons in our history.

“However, in order for us to keep progressing as a team and a Club as a whole, it is unconditional that we are aligned in our strategy to run the club sustainably. We must also show belief in and respect for one another. That is the approach that has brought this club so much success in recent history, and one that we will not veer from now. Our search for a new head coach will begin immediately.”

Played 4 - beat Villa then lost to City, Arsenal and Liverpool. From that last paragraph it looks like there might have been a fallout with the board.

Chelsea Football Club has today parted company with Head Coach Thomas Tuchel.

On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club. Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup in his time here.

As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the Club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition.

Chelsea’s coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and the preparation of our upcoming matches as the Club moves swiftly to appoint a new head coach.

There will be no further comment until a new head coach appointment is made.

Graham Potter's impending managerial move to Chelsea is reportedly 'into its final stages' with Todd Boehly having acted swiftly to replace Thomas Tuchel. The Blues' American owner only dismissed the German on Wednesday morning, but an agreement is expected to be in place with his replacement in Brighton's Potter over the coming hours
