Viark VIARK TYPE BOXES

On it, anyone got a link to a 28.2 E2 chan list to hand? I only see full lists and don't have an editor installed here.
Try this bud, full motor list is whats needed

Doesn't work for me with my lamedb list:

Code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "C:\Users\cokeaddict\Desktop\e2tosdx.py", line 58, in <module>
    convert_to_sdx(lamedb_path, output_file)
  File "C:\Users\cokeaddict\Desktop\e2tosdx.py", line 34, in convert_to_sdx
    channel_info.extend(int(t_name, 16).to_bytes(2, byteorder='big'))
                        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 16: '12585HSID0x01'

Just creates a list of channel names and garbage for me
""
It seems the script I provided doesn't generate the correct SDX file format. The SDX file you provided as an example appears to be in JSON format, which is different from what the script generates. My apologies for the confusion.

I don't have enough information to create a converter script that generates a JSON-formatted SDX file, as there seem to be additional fields and nested structures. In order to create a converter, I would need a more comprehensive understanding of the SDX format, including how it maps to the E2 format.

If you could provide more information about the mapping between E2 and SDX formats, I'd be happy to help you create a converter. Alternatively, if you have access to an existing script or tool that generates SDX files in JSON format, you could share that, and I could help you adapt it to work with E2 channel lists. ""

Thinking of taking the plunge... But should I buy Viark or a V8?? V8 is cheaper even with the extra.. (I don't like the upright design of the V8 box and what the hell is a scart socket doing at the back.) I suppose it is a difficult question to ask (which to buy) as the vast majority will have one or the other but not both and I suppose to a valid comparison you need to have been able to assess both boxes...

Your call on which to buy the Viarks come with sub that is activated once you load the latest firmware, then you can convert it to SP1 online free and end up with a 2 year sub included in the initial price. With the V8 you'll be looking for 1 year sub to mars and have to contact a bloke in china who most likely is in bed due to the time difference .

Both are the same spec some who have both claim the V8 is marginally quicker booting up.

Several on here, myself included have both.

I prefer the V8 UHD as it's a bit quicker / smoother to use, but it has some bugs that the viark does not have.

My biggest issue with the Viark is the remote, I just don't like it, but that is personal preference.

At the end of the day, they both do the same thing, 1 looks better but the remote is naff and is a bit less responsive to use, 1 feels like it performs better and has a better remote, but looks like a knock off router, but they are essentially the same.

Thanks for your replies regarding the V8 vs Viark. A question on the back of this (but I'm not sure if it's in the right trhread..) is to do with set up :-
At present I have a VU+ Duo 4K with a motorised dish and a fixed Sky dish. The Sky dish has multiple outputs. At present one output goes to the Tuner B of the VU+ and another goes to the TV (Freesat). The motorised dish is connecetd to Tuner A on the VU+. If a purchase a second box I understand that I can use a DC pass through a splitter to connect the V8/Viark to my motorised dish. This will enable me to control the dish with either box?? But also will I able to use a diseqc switch to connect the V8/Viark to a spare output on the LNB of the Sky dish?
