Is the H2H the box you had on or another you had lying around its not clear.

Well you know from a pro the dish side is ok so if that H2H is the only box you have then you have no choice but to purchase a new one.

I had the h2h lying around coz it started playing up hence why I bought the H7S in 2020. Would you recommend me sticking to zgemma or any other boxes you recommend?

If its just for freesat, use the h2h. Surprised you didn't try it when you were told it could be the tuner in the existing box.
It'll probably need flashing if it's not been used for six years

Yeh I did try the h2h but its gone flippin slow, it was dusty probably got covid dust. So my question is does the tuner in the box fail? Having the box for 6 years but definitely kept me going until Sunday morning. I watch my normal tv and I have other service as well.

You need a new box because the tuner in the h7 is faulty.
Or you could put a new tuner in it.
Until your new stuff arrives, use the h2h

I can't recommend anything because I've never had a satellite dish but it depends what you want to watch.
If its FTA + IPTV then something similar to the H7, or use the H2h for FTA and get a cheap android device for IPTV

Even the H2H got no signal , just rebooted and nothing picking up. Probably get the Octagon box

Yea I was thinking of a different box, either way, it's unlikely you have two satellite boxes with duff tuners.
Do you not know anyone else that has satellite dish where you could try both boxes just to see if signal finder gets a signal.

I'd be wary of buying a brand new box only to find that it also gets no signal

I was thinking the same thing. I don’t know anyone with a box. If I get sky q box would I get the free channels and just to check if the signal working.

I didn't ask if you knew anyone with a box, I asked if you knew anyone, friend, neighbour or relative who has a satellite dish where you could try your box for signal.

Take a photo of the satellite cable connector that goes into the box, also a photo of the sat connection/tuner on the back of the H7, I'm thinking there's rust involved

No and then you would need a different LNB to the Universal you must have on your dish.

I'd say the same 2 boxes both with faulty tuners is a stretch but this professional installer you had say dish end is fine.

You need to test those boxes on another dish with Universal lnb

Opened up the box, can’t see no rust.

The engineer tested both LNB outside and the cables inside and was getting strong signal.
