Best IPTV Setup for Smooth Streaming (No Buffering Guide)

Hey everyone 👋

I’ve been testing different IPTV setups recently and wanted to share what actually works for smooth streaming (especially for sports and live TV).

Here’s what I found 👇

✅ Best Setup (From My Experience)

1. App matters A LOT

  • Tivimate (Android / Firestick) → best overall
  • IPTV Smarters → good but heavier
  • XCIPTV → lightweight alternative

2. Internet Requirements

  • Minimum: 20 Mbps
  • Recommended: 50+ Mbps for 4K
  • Always use Ethernet if possible (WiFi = more buffering)

3. Avoid Buffering Tips

  • Use a stable provider (not overloaded servers)
  • Try different playlists (some are better optimized)
  • Use a VPN only if needed (sometimes slows things down)
  • Clear app cache regularly

⚙️ Extra Tips

  • Use external player like VLC if streams lag
  • Disable unused categories (makes apps faster)
  • Update playlist regularly

❓ Question for you guys:

What setup are you using right now?
Any apps or configs that work better for you?

💬 Let’s share setups and help each other get the best experience.

We have guides already on here

Thanks for sharing 🙏

Yeah I saw that thread, it’s helpful 👍
I just wanted to share what personally worked best for me recently (especially for sports streaming without buffering).

Curious if anyone tested newer setups or apps lately?

All good 👍

One thing I also noticed recently:

Using external player like VLC helped reduce buffering a lot on some streams.

Also disabling unused categories made apps much faster.

I tested a few providers recently too… huge difference between them honestly.

Some were buffering a lot, others were super smooth even on live sports.

Still trying to find the most stable ones 👀

If you are having to use VLC for any live streaming would probably look at changing supplier

The inbuilt players now for most apps should handle pretty much anything

If you need to use a VPN, quite often the closer country ones are overloaded. Better to use one a bit further a field and raise the buffer size slightly to compensate for the longer round trip. :)

The sensible voice of reason which i have come to expect from you Mr Dar 👍 😃

Slow and steady but get over the finish line first.

I bet there is rocket fuel under your shell 🫣

Disable unused categories is 1 I hadn't looked into. On the topic of "Cache clearing" has anyone looked into an automated system for this and maybe a nightly re-boot? Many moons ago I played with Linux and it had a "chron" job that would run functions at different times.

disabling (or hiding) categories on device / app does not really help a lot as they are still loaded. Using an editor to remove them from the paylist or asking provider to remove them is the answer.

And yes E2 boxes (linux based) do have ability to set a regular clear cache cron job.

"Echannelizer" removes bouquets from "Bouquet Maker Xtream" that you do not want to load. Will this be the same as a regular clear cache?
