Johnjohns. To fix the movie list page turning black, turn off subtitles. I think it clashes as I have a small tv screen on all menu pages which seems to break when subtitles are on.

I don't recommend using bluehds spinner. It has an outer glow on it. When it is used on some screens it will revert to the 8 bit png so you will get scraggy edges on it.

Thanks so much Kiddac, now I can change EPG and Recordings screens to whatever text I like. Amazing!

Yeah that was the reason I replaced my BlueHD spinners with your ones even when I used BlueHD skin, even my default has been replaced with your one from version 1.7.

I noticed a bug on a friend's Technomate nano super when using this skin today. The movies/recordings are is just all black with the picture in the corner. When I press ok a recording will start, then I press stop and it shows the mmovies/recordings area. But if I leave then press file list to go into movies/recordings its black. On Xtrend 9500 the picons on Infobar dont work. Everything works great on Vu+ and ZGemma.

Strange bugs on technimate and xtrend, tried for hours to fix it but with bug you never know where the problem is. Tried older image, older settings backup. Gave up on those 2 boxes.

Can someone provide the file path for changing 'box office' to something else as I cannot find anything which relates to the above. It's likely just me being blind, but any help will me appreciated!

I've looked for files/folders with these names but cannot find anything. The only thing I have in the name of main templates is an XML file
 
Usr/share/enigma2/slyk1hd main-templates.xml. Or something very similar to that

Open the maintemplates xml in an xml viewer. Xmlwrench is a good free one

you cant without a third party hack.

for those struggling with a black screen on plugins and movie list when subtitles are turned on, here is the fix. I will update my skin tomorrow evening.

Hi guys,,,

i have got the new Slyk Skin,, its awesome,,, i have set it up and it works fine and perfect... No problem the best skin yet !! Well Dont to Kiddac for all your hard work... A drink will be on me !

The only problem i have at the moment is the EPG ,, i have done the epg with XMLimporter but the info is not there for half the shows or times.... Any help,,, tried to install crossepg but for some reason i cannot find the plugin once installed

Like Kiddac told me earlier (dont worry it took me a few mins to figure out what he meant too as I don't use xml files much but I'm more comfy now), find the user/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd folder and inside there is a file called main-templates.xml
you need to use Notepad++ (or an xml editor) NOT notepad. and choose find from the menu, type <eLabel text="BoxOffice" and click find. Then change that to whatever you want and save.

I changed mine to Planner.

Oo, where can I find this 3rd party hack to show channel numbers on EPG? (printing channel numbers using AB28.2E messes up the look of your skin when tapping channel number so a hack would be great)

Thanks for the line of coding, I've added it at the bottom of the general.xml file, thats fantastic! Perhaps you could upload the updated general.xml file on its on too on your dropbox for a quickfix for people who don't want to uninstall and reinstall.



Kiddac 1 final thing, any guesses why the picon doesnt work on Xtrend box? Off the top of your head, what line of code should I look for the problem that stops picon working on infobar?

There is a setting somewhere to show picon on infobar in menus. Maybe that is overriding it. It shouldn't though.
 
Hi kiddac I had someone on another image asking wye there getting 0% signal on acg so I checked mine and it doesn't show acg bar at all I'll post pics in a moment

I can't remember whether I left this out on purpose or I forgot to put it in. ;)

I have just downloaded my skin at work and it's definitely not in there. Is this really needed?

SNR = Signal to Noise Ratio - which means signal quality
AGC = Automatic Gain Control - which means signal strength
BER = Bit Error Rate - which shows the error rate of the signal.


So, SNR and AGC should be as high as possible.
BER should be as low as possible, like 0. It can be higher, if your other values are higher.

I might add in back in tonight when I do my subtitles black screen fix.

Meanwhile if anyone wants to faff it lives in general.xml under the screen name satfinder.

you need to add in the AGC code which is the same as the 3 BER elements above. Obviously replacing the BER with AGC.
Move all the SNR up by 30px. And place the AGC where the SNR lives.
 
the thing is he's getting no signal on acg but hasn't got any problems he was wondering why he wasn't getting one it maybe a bug that doesn't show it that might be why you left it out im going to test the default skin to see if it shows a signal

Can we not use CrossEPG on the new slyk 1 skin... i have version 2 the completed version but the epg doesnt have crossepg and i tried to install but wont let me... any help
 
i do remember reading somewhere once that one of them doesn't work properly whether AGC or BER.

well i had it working on VIX, becuase that is what I tested and skinned crossepg on.

CrossEPG will ive in the EPG menu.
