The delay in changing channel is a result of people complaining that it was far to fast and couldn't press the buttons fast enough. I added the delay to stop the posts.

As per Willo, you can alter the speed to suit your needs.

Oh, also, when you press the last number just press the OK button, then you can be as quick or as slow as you like.

Type 301 and the OK button it will change instantly.

My box crashed yesterday after a day of no issues, I was adding a timer for the mrs and it stuck on the epg,left it for 10 mins,tried to reboot box but it just going from 49-99 on box then repeating its self. so ive gone back to wosh's previous build.

I was hoping it would be in minutes, hours and days but I was not that lucky.

There will be a FAQs to answer the most common questions and changing the time delay will be one of them.. Actually, anything which is personal preference will be high on the list.

I still have a problem with my auto boquets, I delete sections like religion and sky anytime and then the next day they have reappeared after doing the automatic scan. Make all default boquets is set to no, also I have 2 of each boquet appear, so 2 movies, 2 sports etc.

Flash again mate, DON't restore your settings and delete some bouquets. Then do a full nit scan and see if they come back.

If they don't, restore your settings and see what happens to your bouquets. Then edit them and run a nit scan again.

Going on the the small amount of issues with the v4 alpha initial release and the fact that all issues and a couple of un-mentioned ones have been fixed I would say go for it. It has been running for weeks on Beni and my boxes and been fine.

I will warn you that it will undergo some minor changes but nothing that will make a massive difference to anything you do between now and the next release. You will just need to backup your settings, flash the new build and then restore your settings like we have all been doing for the last two days.

Try it, give you feed back on any issues you may have. But you can't ask questions anywhere. BUT, the v3 thread pretty much answers everything in that thread. But you cant ask questions abot 4 in there either lol.


To flash this from scratch, you need to install BaseBuild from the first post.
Go into plugins and do 1 and 2 and you wil have WooshBuild.

WooshBuild v4.00 Alpha Testing is ending

Due to the huge amount of downloads and feedback for the Alpha versions of WooshBuild v4 I will be removing the availability from the flash online menu tomorrow (Wednesday 15th) evening. If you would still like to test it, please make sure you flash your box to the Alpha version before then.

Those running the alpha build will always have the ability to go back to v3.03 if they so choose by using the Flash Online menu. All parts of v4.00 alpha will continue to run if you would like to continue using it, you just won't be able to download it anymore from the online flash.

If you find any more problems before a beta version or the final release is available, please continue to post in here.


On behalf of Beni and myself, may I thank everyone who has taken part in testing as it has found issues Beni and I may never have spotted such as the boot screens revering back.

Thank you to Kidda C for the beta release of Slyk HD v4. It took me longer than I wanted to get it uploaded in the build but I got to have a decent play :-)

Cheers people - Please keep trying to break WooshBuild v4.002376293847 Alpha and let us know so we can fix it.



Up until 20 minutes ago, total download count for Alpha was 537. Not bad going.

Seems that if you have a full backup and a settings backup that when you restore backup/settings it always chooses the full backup to restore... confused me when it went back to v3.03 :)

A full backup to me would refer to a complete backup which is a mirror image of your box. Restore settings and backup settings are different.

The only way to resotre a complete backup is via the flash online / local option

Restore settings does just that, the two never cross over. I think you confused your brain a bit.... that's ok though, I do it all the time and often wonder what day it is.

I definitely used the restore settings - and it definitely restored the full backup (I did it twice to make sure I wasn't beerlucinating) - present in the backup directory: one full backup & one backup of settings.

Once I knew wtf was going on I removed the full backup and it was all super once more.

Autobouquets dosnt have anything to do with epg I don't think but yes used woosh's one for scotland

Why would there be a fix for something that isn't broken ?
I notice you had this problem in woosbuild v3.03 as well and then again in v4 ?
Reading your posts, it looks as though you like to tinker with settings and are maybe using Chabs skin ?
Nobody that i can recall offhand had this continuing problem in v3.03 and nor has it been reported in v4 after a few hundred downloads ?
Everybody that followed the instructions correctly in v3.03 seems to have a good working epg.
Downloading v4 correctly is even easier to get the epg correctly.
It's your box so you can do what you like with the settings, but please refrain from commenting re "is there a fix" because the answer is "no, because it isn't broken"...
