hey guys recently got this box from WOS with 2 DVB C/T tuners as part of the deal. i know this box supports 4 tuners in total can these all be the same as id like to add 2 more DVB C/T tuners once ive got the spare dosh. or can you only have 2 of each, ive tried searching google but i just keep coming across people using 2x2 DVB S / DVB C/T. and not 4 of the same kind

cheers Ash

Best to ask WOS, there is an email support for that. Im sure that's not an issue with 4 tuners, you just need to be able to supply 4 feeds? or is 2 x twin tuners?

Mine is twin sat / twin cable but they are interchangeable and both types fit in the same socket on the board so there would be no problem using 4 cable tuners.

cheers guys fo the reply ill give WOS a quick email, i know ive read in the past about zgemmas here you could add usb tuners but they all had to have different chipsets or something to stop drivers conflicting so wasn't sure if that was the case with this box, ill post back with their reply :)

Just looked at that Willo and by the time you've added 4 dvb-c tuners and a 500 gig hd the price is back up to £269, still not bad though for a high end quad tuner cable box.

I don't think any box comes with the hdd included. I think the advertised price of £149 is bit naughty though when you realise that it doesn't include any tuners at all.

Cheers for the pick m8 so you need 4 feeds then if maxed out or 2 x 2 splitters?

the starter price does include 2x sat tuners for free but yea the cable tuners don't half bump the price up lol i do wish id had the extra money at the time to fill the tuner slots as it works out about £18 more buying them separate not a lot i know but a saving is a saving lol.

WOS got back to me and confirmed that the box will take 4 of the same tuner without any problems anyway so unlike adding extras to the zgemma you dont needs different drivers chipsets so at least its there i can just add 1 at a time i guess.

im impressed how well this box handles the multiple tuners its light years ahead of my old zgemma

just with 2 tuners ive managed to get 8 recordings going while watching one (not average usage was more just a test) and the box didnt even hiccup

reason i want to add the extra tuners though is using the enigma connector plugin in kodi makes it mega easy to get the TV/recordings onto all the other tvs very cheap and means that watching channels on these will no limit channels to certain muxs/multiplexs what ever they call them on cable lol,

as others said there is loop outs on the tuners this is how i have it setup i just have the 1 main cable from the wall and then just a standard RF
Coaxial Cable going from tuner a to tuner b there is no loss of signal on this ether for me much better than having multiple cables coming out of the wall sockets with splitters

If you have the newer mainboard on a Zgemma H2S you can swap the sat tuners to cable ones.
I'm pretty sure you could do the same on a H2H to give 2 cable tuners... project for the future lol

as you mentioned 8 recordings was that sat or cable or terrestrial?
its on cable im sure this result varies obviously depending on the first channels you kick the recordings off depending what over channels are the same muxs as those channels didnt get a pic of this one

i did also test freeview though due to not having a perm antenna i literally tried it for 5 mins to see how well that would work and just kicked recordings off for as many channels as i could and managed to get 13 just literally went in a row wasnt choosing anything in particular

mate of mine uses the the H2H where would you get replacement tuners to do this he has no access to sat and just uses DVB-T/2 so replacing the sat tuner would be handy for him

yes 1 had 6 on my solo2 on sat but never tried cable to see and have to be on same transponder.

its a shame there are no lists for DVB C/S with what channels are on what mux/transponder like there is with DVB-T because this would give a clear direction on working total amount out lol

i mean if you look on here https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/multiplexes it lists the freeview muxs

with 4 tuners there is the possibility to basically record about 52 channels lol (obviously varying and depending on the boxs drive speeds) but the capability is there, not that there is ever enough content to record that many on cable/sat let alone freeview mind lol but it is possible

You must make sure that the mainboard has swappable tuners first, mine doesn't unfortunately:

just looked on google wouldn't work for him anyway as in the H2H the cable tuner is the "removable" the sat tuner is fixed hes better off just getting a new box if he wants more the cost of usb tuners that work with the boxes are almost as much as the box's them self he can flog his H2H to make a bit of the money back
