Wooshbuild Support Thread

WooshBuild 7 for the Zgemma i55 has been uploaded. (this should also be free of the software update issue)

Very little to be done with this image other than stick it on a USB stick and flash it.

There is the woohsbuild sky skin which is the same as sky.it's in the download skin section.green button>green button again>look for the skin section>go in to that and you will see it further down the list.

As Ad29434 said, WooshBuild has it's own Sly skin, SkyWB. It should already be installed. Just switch skins.

"Slyk" is the name of Kiddac's own skin and only refers to his skin. Sly is term term used in place of Sky
 
Not sure which skin I'm using on Zgemma, I think it's just the standard 1st install one but is there anyway to remove the weather widget in top left corner?

Sorry wooshbuild. On your sly skin i am trying to set up the EPG button to load the bouquests list. I cannot see the option under the EPG button section. Any help on this please
 
Hey woosh, not sure if I'm losing the plot but the main thread on here says V7 is done for the osmini but it just says 6 in the downloads section?

menu/setup/epg/scroll to settings/epg location at top/media/hdd if that's what your on about if not the other settings are in there

Press the EPG button
Press menu
change show bouquet on launch to yes.
press green button to save.

Alternate method is go into WB Config and set toppicks to on.

OR
Press the TV or Fav button instead of EPG button.

No not going mad Rob, I never got to do it. Al images will be updated in the next day or two and will have WB7 done for you then.

That is the default Metrix Skin which comes with openATV. You will need to go into My Metrix Lite (portal button or long hold blue button) and turn it off in there. Don't ask me any more than that as I haven't messed with it. It also isn't supported on this thread. If you need more help with setting the metrix skin start a new thread :-)
 
Just a couple of things i've found since updating to V7.. if they've alrady been covered then please berate me all you like.. if not then they might help someone.

  • timeshift is set to stop when a recording starts - this is different behaviour i believe since 6.
    • This can be turned off in setup > timeshift and recording settings > timeshift
  • a message comes up for a few seconds when a recording starts
    • again, this can be turned off in recording settings

I've also found that the reliability of FSTAB keeping a mount is worse than on V6 but i've fixed that with a remount script and a cronjob.

The only thing i think could be better now is the spinner.. it's a little obtrusive for my tastes.. @Woosh, did you or Chabs ever manage to find the one you mentioned?

I will look at the time shift settings being different and get updated.

I have never lost a mount on a box unless I have been plugging in USBs and back out again, or left one in and booted screwing the the locations. I have been running openatv 6.1 since the day it was released on 4 different model boxes and never had an issue on any of them.

The freesat spinner files are attached in a zip file. You need to add these yourself at present but alternate spinner options will be added to WB Config in the future saving the need to do anything manually.

(Aimed to all) Feel free to mod the skin as you see fit, but how & where etc isn't covered in this thread and would need a new one creating in the skins section.

Thanks for the spinners woosh.

As for the mount, i should have mentioned this is for network mounts.. i record to my NAs and in all likelyhood, it's my NAS dropping the connection and not the H2S.. but i thought i'd mention that i had a solution in case anyone else came across it.

Hey ive just slashed my 5th h2s along with one h7 and ive not noticed any of the time shift settings being changed.thats an odd one.saying that ive also had none of the issues listed on the thread so far.The message usually comes up if the usb is palying up.
