"A good friend of mine works for S-k-y technical department has just confirmed that s-k-y have issued a statement this week
advising that "Starting from Today Thursday April 24th 2014 all HD subscription channels will begin changing codec and broadcasting streams to allow for thier new Mpeg 5 EPG system to be launched and added to all HD paired boxes via software upgrades "


"This new feature similar to that of digital Saorview interactive text and features will take effect from today and will allow users in the immediate future to fully enjoy the new interactive teletext functions to become a main feature going forward into 2015 and beyond "
 
yap yap yap post 86 still the same boring thing sky hd has gone or on the way no coming back when will people get this
its the same as sky italia get it no more hd gone gone gone like a bat out of helll no fix what so ever get use to it

Touchy touchy I was only posting info which I seen which may have helped others. I take it your a wee bit upset. Awwwwwwh

Ill add this anywayz:

FACT nobody can say anything definitive at the moment.There is good info and things being gathered but nothing concrete that includes going the same way as italia.And if it does sd will be strong for along time as on italia;)
 
well i tell you what if sky hd uk does not go the same way as sky it in the next month i will eat my hat
 
inbed👍.Like i say NOBODY can say at the mo to early but worst case cenario is sd.And if ppl cant live with that maybe theyve had it to good.I for one will live with sd.Remember bk in the day?HD whats that lol.
 
Bug Fixes

  • This update contains very small bug fixes over the previous public version R009.066.77.03P.
  • Fix for issue causing some recordings to not have the padding applied to the start or end of the recording.
  • Fix for the issue which causes the time to be 1hr out on a stacks synopsis within the “New Series” tab.
  • Firmware rollout commenced Friday 25th April 2014.

this update started today, don't see a mention of HD channels.

I hardly expect them to say something like "changes are so all those using illegal cardsharing services on imported boxes such as the skybox, will now no longer receive HD channels" :)
I hope you are right though and this isnt the end for the HD channels but I think those who are more pessimistic are more right on this.
 
Anyone still got there channels? Not sure if thats it all gone.. or its my provider. Positive sly done anther update this morning.

well 8 months ago we was all aware of the new pairing and for sky to get rid of old boxes is something they can do.

a simple " re need your old box back or you will not get any channels " will work.

i wonder if anyone is still on the old white boxes lol
 
Same channels gone for me as well. But also appearing now is 'no signal' on BT sports 1 & 2, not checked or noticed on others. Maybe linked?
