This what Theresa has thought (brainwashed) you, eh??? lol

they are so cute when they just flop down because there is no food or parents around.

lollollol Wheelo,Brainwashed is right lollollol Yes Chicks really are coming on so well,i check in on them several times a day.Would not miss it 👍

One of them actually stood right at the edge of the nest earlier today and fully extended its wings. I was sure it was going for it lol

Their claws are huge now too when they decide to display them.

When they are flopped just like now, they look so weak, but when the parent is there and they want food, they are well able to hop around to get in the right position.
just found a site with lots of info as to what we should expect>>American Bald Eagle - Nesting & Young though do be prepared for some not so nice info, like
"- Sometimes two chicks will survive, but it is not uncommon for the older eaglet to kill the smaller one, especially if the older is a female, as females are consistently larger than males. Should one chick decide to kill its sibling, neither parent will make the slightest effort to stop the fratricide."

"Approximately 40% of young eagles do not survive their first flight."

the info is amazing as to the power of nature, #Time for my bed too, :goodnight: Ally and Gman

WOW not checked in here for some time due to being busy- i cant believe how big they have got! Will have to check in again later as its dark now. I have obviously missed so much!

wow just watching now and the one with its back to us - wow what a piggy lol its not stopped eating. the 1st born is just under a month old and how they have grown & changed in that short time!

One of the parents just brought back a fish, the other parent fecked off (must have been the male, off for a pint or something) next thing the three chicks are pushing the parent out of the way, eating the fish on their own, first time I saw that, great to see.
Very captivating stuff👍

Take a look at this from last september, a Racoon tries to enter the nest but gets met with the mother, their is lots of footage from the nest on youtube, the laying of the eggs, the hatching, etc.

The three Chicks are all alone at the moment, they are really able to move around now, and are getting sturdier by the day:woohoo:

It certainly does ally, both parents were there a while ago, sheltering the chicks, now it is as always - the mother doing all the work lol

A reminder of what the chicks looked like one month ago and now lol
