Yeah, in some cuisines you'll see red curry (India, Thailand) because they add tomatoes or tomato paste into the curry. I've never tried making it myself but it sure tastes yummy!

dee, curry surely is winter food! You feel all warm and toasty inside when you're done. You might even sweat.

LOL Kertys currys all year round, vindaloo is my curry choice.

Added after 4 minutes:

I added tomatoes to mine... it was good I don't care what kind it was... ROFL. I added NO heat tho... me family has "sensitive" pallets and wouldn't be able to handle it... the GM on the other hand can take da heat baby!!!!! lol

I have some "additive" that's called Tracy's Fire in the Kitchen and it's frikkin hot.. doesn't take much to make a dish "HOT" in a hurry.. :woot:

I wonder if you guys have ever had Thai pepper. That's the hottest shiznit to every touch my lips. I'll never forget my first taste. My buddy at work handed me one, and I popped the whole thing in my mouth. It looked like a skinny Jalapeno. Tasted sweet at first. I knew I'd made a mistake when I bit down into it though. For when I did, my buddy's jaw dropped. I literally RAN to the drinking fountain. But water just wasn't working LOL! Thankfully there was a milk machine in the lunchroom. Saved my ass LOL!

LOL omega if your ever handed a scots bonnet run:whacko: bite one that little firiey pepper and you will have the sweats in seconds.

Yes, I have. My mom and grandparents actually grew their own Vietnamese chili peppers at home.

As a general rule of thumb, the smaller they are, the hotter they get. Except habaneros. Watch the hell out for those guys.

This will help. As you can see, temperature can vary. I've had some very hot Jalapenos, and some very hot Thai peppers. And as you can also see, there are multiple species of Habanero, some hotter than others ;)

hottest peppers

Naga Jolokia are supposed to be the hottest... for some reason I thought that there was another "developed" this year that took top honors and they had to "re-adjust" the Scoville chart for it... anyway the Naga Jolokia is FRIKKIN hot!!!!!!!!:fartlight:

I like spicy food, but that is totally over doing it LOL! I prefer keep foods that are capable of eating my flesh out of my body LOL!
