Gotta Love Motorised

Ok thanks. Any advice on receiver. I presume my H2H is no good.

I couldn't get mine to work with a H2.H ... some people have but gave me problems so I bought a V8 Golden which was about £45 and does the job well.

Don't expect it to be straight forward - I spent weeks and many hours researching everything... it's a big learning curve for a newbie.

you need > a very understanding wife
or > a good divorce lawyer ;)

Already divorced.Got my life back. Represented myself all the way through. Saved £20k. She spent that with her lawyer. I won. If you ever need any advice happy to give it. Anyway, yes that dish is a biggie!

A lot of channels are FTA but a lot are on packages that will require a EURO satellite line and some channels open with softcam keys like the PL football feeds.

Here's my street and my dish (note the tiny S*y minidish to the right of it) ... it's as tall as my bedroom window - I can't see anything to the right when I look out of the window

if you want to shift your H2H give me a shout,
I could put that in the house for the wife, on cable,
and use my other box in the shed for motorised

The motorised dish idea looks like an interesting project. I'd need to find a guide for the whole process though. Might give a sat company a call tomorrow and get some more info. The dish would need to go on the side of the house.

And it looks bigger the closer you get to it (the dish I mean of course )

Here it is in my hall stood up - the smaller dish was for comparison, it's a 65cm zone 2.

When I was ringing around satellite "specialists" for quotes (when I was getting frustrated) none of them would touch motorised o_O

tbf, it doesnt look that massive compared to the 65, my 65 is round,
so not mega much bigger, [I keep telling myself anyway]

It is - had my monies worth out of that baby, it was a present from my wife though a couple of years back and can't remember the exact price but I think it was on offer at the time although not by much less.

its rebadged Draper Expert,
I build bike engines as a hobby, and have used a lot of good tools, including Beta, I'd put Halfords as good gear,
I've used it on 60K BSB bikes, :(y):
and used it on bikes doing the IoM TT, nowt wrong with it at all,
your wife has good sense.
I have a couple or 3 different Halfords sets, all decent kit.
only a rung or 2 down from Beta or Teng, I dont rate Snap On , no better than Halfords imo, living on a name.

I'm always doing my own repairs on mine and missus' cars' so this kit has been a god send and with the lifetime guarantee, it's worth it's weight in gold.

Never been into bikes - my brother loves them and is always tinkering with his and messing with engines... he's got a Kawasaki Ninja (I think that's what it's called )

That's me off to bed - goodnight for now chaps.

Mine is on a pole at the back facing the same way as yours but the roof hides it from view at the front
