H5 missing softcam and collection error on script when installing Wooshbuild Infinity

I think new/fresh ATV builds are better waiting until ATV have finished tinkering...

I've tried several times to fix this on a H7, H2s & an Edision combo & it seems every time one problem is overcome another pops up or ATV pull their nightly then re-upload an amended version.
The best way I have found around these issues is to make the image then restore settings from a settingsbackup.

That's what was noted on mine and changing to /6.2/ worked

I was getting some help on this on ATV but they've deleted my posts and closed the thread so not much else I can do.

Sorry but my h5 is also ready to go out the window. I've pretty much got as far as Blair84. Any chance you can be spell this part out for me lol.

Im not sure how else to explain it. FTP etc/opkg and open secret-feed.conf

You may see a link like this

If in the middle it just has /6/ change to /6.2/

So :

If using ATV 6.3 try changing the link to 6.3.

Close and see if you can download cams from plugns. Menu, plugins, green to download plugins goto softcams and download your chosen cam.

Once downloaded cam press red button and choose softcam setup not softcam panel and restart softcam when ready.

On your Box Menu > Info> Network > Get your box IP address
Open up FileZilla Host (top left ) Type in IP address Username root Leave others blank Press Quick connect
Box should then connect to computer Left side computer, Right hand box

Or depending on if you have samba installed you should see your box in windows file explorer then network.

Thanks for your help I changed it to 6.2 but there is still no softcam in the plugins download. I noticed my code didn't have /pack on the end like yours did would this make a difference. Thanks again for all your help

After you change the link to 6.2, or to 6.3, you need to reboot the box, then try downloadable plugins.
Best to copy/paste the code above into the conf file if you are missing packages.gz

no joy lads ive copy the code but still no softcam. my code started with
src/gz secret-feed
should i have kept that in the code
 
Hi All

Had the same issue with GrogFreeRange build, wasn't showing the SoftPanel when re-imaging.

The above worked for me, went in via ftp (filezilla) on the server edited the file and rebooted.

Under Plugins you can now see SoftCam which allows you to download your preferred SoftCam.

SoftCan-Setup now appears

There seems to be no consistency of issues reported, so it's hard to work out what's happening and how to fix.

It seems to be broken for 4k boxes though.

It appears to be periodical to me, on one minute and down the next, three people can flash boxes, two cant get.softcams and one will, bizzare
