Sorry if being a numpty but as it says not to FTP file in and I cant get line to work what should I enter for the line as my newcam.list looks like
CWS = XXXXXXX XXXX BOX072 XXXXXXX 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

Me personally i always Ftp files in its a lot quicker look on page 9 of here Ive done a idiots guide
 
thanks, cant find the guide though. But from what I have read as it starts with CWS that file is a Nline so I should be able to just ftp the newcamd.list in the box is set up with mgcamd.1.38 active, so it should then work.

I'm completely new to this and just read the setup guide which I think I can follow but...

I see that there are different software which can be used i.e. OpenATV, Vix etc. How do I know which is the best one to use. I've read not to auto update vix as it can cause problems.

Where do I find the image to download?

When I clicked on the first step mentioned in the idiot guide I get these two options. Which would be the best option.
1. Download Windows Installer (most people will want this option): HDD Low Level Format Tool ver.4.40 setup
2. Download Windows Executable (works without installation): HDD Low Level Format Tool ver.4.40

With the Vix image it is a patched version which works very well auto updates is turned off to help you just look for Sucmnsee latest in downloads Vix 3.2.000

The idiot is back again haha... right I'm having trouble connecting to my wifi, this time I have read through and still no joy! It's a 'skybox' wifi dongle that worked on my f5?
I have not got an ethernet cable either.


I've done :

Network set up > wlan connection > wizard

a network test and I've got

Wireless - disconnected

Ip address- unconfirmed
 
Completely newbie to this Zgemma star 2s. How do I no which one to choose between Openatv and vix?

where do I find the image which needs to be downloaded on to a USB?

Hey.
Iam struggling to get the box to flash. Iv tried a kingston 8gb data traveller. Also used a sandisk cruzer blade 8gb and both didnt work. The box just booted up. Then numbers came on the screen until 100 then the time displayed. Iv just bought a sandisk cruzer blade 16gb so still to try this. Anybody give me ideas?
 
Just format your new drive to fat 32 then make sure you put only the Zgemma folder on it and try
