"idiots guide" to installing sucmnsee's image with EVERY step explained in detail

If using Sucmnsee image mg and list files are already on the image usr/ var keys are the same place Best way is to add your line is to FTP it as if 1 bit is different it will not work better off using softcams in main menu rather than starting in Ts panel as starting in both causes comflict

two things come to mind: 1 go back to the guide & start the HDD process again (initialize then create swap file) or 2 using the menu on the remote go to: menu/setup/vix...then perform a fresh mount in mount manager & swap manager, once done restart the box then go through settings to select EPG to HDD not internal

Dribbler you're not using a zgemma 2s are you?dunno if that would be a problem?

yes mate zgemma2s still cant get the guide to show sly channels and when i do view the channel it will only give me now and next?
Abit of a stump mate. Like beaky says check those 2 things. Also is your line the only one in the newcamd? Did u enter it manually because even one mistake like not having a space in the right place will matter.i had that problem also, and once I ftp it,worked fine

dribbler as you have the image loaded & your line working you shouldn't need to perform a fresh flash, all you need to do is follow the guide for HDD setup, if you are still having trouble reformat the HDD & follow the guide. sucmnsee's image is proven so nothing wrong there, the guide is repeatedly being given the thumbs up as working IF followed correctly so I can only assume you are doing something different to everyone else, not having a go at you as we all needed to get to grips with this stuff as some point but you really shouldn't be having issues like this IF you followed the guide.

Worse case scenario say screw it & start from scratch (would be good practice anyway). When most have issues its nearly always down to NOT doing something in order from the guide, doing something not in the guide or the user assuming they have done things right when they jump back & forth in the guide. Treat it as a process.....step by step in order & dont move on to the next step until you are where the guide says you should be. Other than this I cant help you I can only wish you good luck if you persist on plowing forward. (plz dont be offended I mean only to help point you in the right direction).

(IF you do perform a fresh image install back up your paid line before you start)!!!

No worries man good luck. I'm not an expert at all but had a few teething problems and can only suggest what worked for me. Try deleting the other details in the newcamd and just have your line entered.let us know how u get on

as you already have a copy of it on your PC you will be fine even IF you decide to reflash your box, only need to back it up if you havnt got a copy as once the box is flashed the line will be gone for good.

Ok cool all good then!! I'll have a blast later, I'll reflash if it doesn't work I don't really mind.. have a great weekend guys

RE: just restore straight away im not sure of the menus for openatv just have a look for image manager and restore like i said this includes your line details so check with your provider if they allow multiroom two boxes in the same ip at the same time if not turn off the original box while restoring the second box then add new line

Worked brilliantly, saved me a few hours setting up boxes, thanks!
How did you restore on the openATV menu?
