I assume you are talking about head size,? That would be an 8mm bolt then,They're 13mm on my 80cm Triax to be precise.
I should rephrase my question, and type in full.Are you using both lnbs from the monoblock?
That sound like a plan bottom K first mount the pole a second K. Get the pole pumb mark for top 2 holes drill remove pole then do bottom hole.Re: the dish install
I’m planning to use two Ks for that extra bit of a stability.
When I’m installing the second K, is best for for me align the pole at 90, tighten everything up, and then drill the hole for the final bolt Ath the bottom?
I’ve got a 4 foot scaffold pole, should I just leave a few inches above and below, or would I need more? Also, with the motor, should I have it resting on top of one of the brackets?
The type that require a 13mm spanner.I assume you are talking about head size,? That would be an 8mm bolt then,
13mm would be a real oddball size, in fact, I don't think I've ever seen a 13mm bolt.
Would that be an ordinary cable splitter like the type used to split cable TV cables and with unicable cables?Mono block and a diseqc switch can be used together ive done it but its a long time ago and not all receivers can.
It went something like this
How to fit a monoblock with built in diseqc switch on a switch
You can put a monoblock with built in diseqc switch on a switch as long as you obey the "order" of the monoblock switch while 'patching' towards the second switch.
Materials used :
- 2 dish : 1 dish with monoblock(hotbird & astra1), 1 dish with another sat
- Monoblock (1 : hotbird 13e , 2 : astra1 19.2 e) + splitter (1in/2out)
- Diseqc switch 4/1 (1 : hotbird, 2: astra, 3: astra2, 4:Not used)
- 1 cable going from the diseqc switch(1/4) to receiver
On some Linux receivers settings can be like this:
Non-standard user defined configuration
Diseqc 1.0
Hotbird
LNB = 0
Toneburst = A
Diseqc = AA
Astra
LNB = 1
Toneburst = B
Diseqc = AB
Single LNB
LNB = 2
Diseqc = BA
On others it can be normal Diseq
port 1 : Hotbird
port 2 : Astra1
Port 3 : Astra2
Port 4 : Not used
I used an old Virgin splitter if i remember correctly, its over 15 year ago mind you. Your switch has to be an uncommited switch though that is important. I had a spaun version still using that today.Would that be an ordinary cable splitter like the type used to split cable TV cables and with unicable cables?
I've heard of this being done before but never knew how.

I used just one tuner for 13 16 and 19 all into the disque and one cable down to the box set up to switch to whichever satellite I wanted.I should rephrase my question, and type in full.
@coozer
Are using both lnbs from the monoblock and other two on the same tuner? I'm intrigued to see how you've manage to set that up (assuming your switch is DISEqC x.0).
The duel monoblock only has one outputAre you using both lnbs from the monoblock?
