Newcamd line put in manually

Hi can someone tell me how to put this line in manually ;

N: nonay14.abcde.uk ch***ied**ri* fatboy99 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

openboxv5s (skyboxf5s)

If you want to put it in CCcam, do the following:-

In the menu select "Network Local Setting". If camds setup doesn't show, press 6666 until it does.
Select "camds setup". Select "CCcam client setup". Select "Manage config files". Select "CCcam.cfg".
Press blue button on remote to "Add". Select Protocol as Newcamd. Enter the host name, port number, user name & password. Press yellow (OK) button on remote. The line should now be added to your box. Press the OK button to place a tick next to the line & reboot the box to activate it.

You can also put it into MGCamd:-

In the menu select "Network Local Setting". If camds setup doesn't show, press 6666 until it does.
Select "MGCamd plug setup". Select "Manage config files". Select "newcamd.list".
Press green button on remote to "Add". Select type as "single account". Enter the host name, port number, user name & password. Press yellow (OK) button on remote. The line should now be added to your box. Reboot the box to activate it.

This looke like an awesome biy of info Kremmen and on that note..........

MGCamd - Is this an Nline only ?

I have 1 skbox f5s set up by the lad who sold me it complete with nilne, channels etc already to plug and play, fantastic, works a treat.

Could I order another box from him and use the Nline from my 1st box sharing the line betweeen the 2 boxes.

I f I could will the picture weaken as sharing the line between 2 boxes or should I really use 2 lines, will it be better quality picture, less cutting out scrammbling etc ?

Thoughts please @ Kremmen :-)

Yep. MGCamd is for N lines only, not C lines.

If you want to use the same line on more than 1 box, then you will need to ask your provider first to see if it is OK. Some providers allow more than 1 box to use the same line from the same location, but others only allow 1 box.

I have never tried using the same line on 2 boxes myself. I assume that as long as they don't try to access the server at exactly the same time, then it shouldn't cause any glitching.

I've tried both ways kremmen but no joy, these were the instructions i was given for a test line ;

Add this line N: nonay14.abcde.uk ch***ied**ri* fatboy99 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

to the cccam.cfg file in root/var/etc and save

then restart cccam softcam form the menu

make sure you have recently scanned astra 28.2E and have an updated sky uk bouquet in the box too.

i usually put CCcam (clines) in manually as you describe above just out of habit , but at the minute it's the only way i can, due to something wrong with my computer it just says "the archive is either in unknown format or damaged" when i try to open any file i download , so i haven't got an option at minute.

Gadgetlad , if you get in touch with your supplier he will probably give you a free line to put in a second box to use as multi room

I doubt that. Some Servers offer multiroom using the same line not to give you 2 lines for the price of one.The more boxes you use one line on will deminish the line.

Ok what Im thinking is having 2 boxes next to each other 1 purely for me for sports.

The other for my wife and 4 kids.

They will not be on at the same time, so will the quality still lack if I do this ?

Not sure i understand that m8?Why not just have 1 box.Bit confusing?

Cos my kids or wife will most likely muck up the box just before I want to watch the footy ? anyway that`s not the question, what I want to know is :

Can i ask how they will muck up the box exactly?

if my nan and grandad can use theres im sure your wife and kids can use yours seems like a waste of money if you ask me.

Quality wont go no either but if you ask me your wasting money.

By mucking the box up I mean deleting files from the box, i.e firmware, satellite settings, channel lists anything that can go wrong, especially my 8 year old shes a little devil with the remote control :-)

Cheers.

Al.

So they can just use the channels and not get into the menu ? REALLY ! :-)

Please do tell all :-)

That would be amazing :-)

So they can still use the skybox to watch channels that they want but cannot access anything at all from the menu, that would be brilliant.

Im not 100% sure but i have had to set a few up where that has been the case had to put a pin to access anything but the channels.

There has got to be something in the manual about it.

Will look at manul tonight although I don`t remember seeing anything about remote control in the manual.

Can anyone tell how to the above ?
