Hello lovely folks hope you are well.

Woke up this morning to no channels not even BBC, channels came back briefly then off again. No disturbance on the Sly dish or connection. Does anyone know what’s happening?

LNB ?
F Connector ?
possible break in the cable causing signal to come and go ?
lots of factors here and if dish is on a motor or fixed dish is anyone's guess ??
you are very vague with your question/s and little to zero details on your set up for anyone to try and assist ,
at least try mention if you have tried replace LNB ? have checked Cable for any breaks and F Connectors ?
if on a motor its possible it may have moved a few degree and needs corrected again .
Some info even a little bit would really be useful here ....

Just a normal sly dish, now channels are coming through, very odd, apologies if I was not clear enough. Just viewing normal FTA on zgemma box.

I am always getting a " NO SIGNAL " on my Vu Zero with no cable and trying to get power on the box via remote curse 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
When box powered off recheck good connection on F connector.
What source of signal strength are you getting ? was it stormy with you?

No storm or nothing F connector all good, channels coming and going, anyone experiencing this?

They dont work well mate if they have water in them, it can be intermittent.

If when the channel do come in you have decent signal strength then id be looking at a LNB fault.
Honestly never has issues until now 😞

My current situation

Visual inspection of the l.n.b might give you your Answer .Look for defects cracked are sometimes a hole As ferret said If the l.n.b is breaking down you can recieve no s.n.r are or sometimes medium s.n.r The l.n.b loses its switching ability between the v and h side of the transponder

The Sly dish is about 7ft high as I live on the ground floor, can’t see much right now as its dark. I did purchase a new 4-Output Universal Quad LNB from screwfix 2 years ago as the previous one wasn’t working. Had installed by a professional, since then had no issue no matter how bad the weather.

Didn't you get this fixed 2 years ago ,same issue back again. try and sort it yourself if you can get access to the lnb. Check lnb , cable and connectors.

The lnb that wasn’t working was only compatible with the sly q boxes and I needed to change this to universal wideband, probably try to find someone tomorrow.

This is a hardware issue, not a software issue. You will have to identify the problem and fix it. It does not matter that you had the LNB replaced recently.

Possibilities:
PSU failure
Cable damage or water ingress
LNB faulty
Tuner/Receiver fault

How you rule out the possibilities is up to you.

PSU
If you have another PSU, try that.

LNB/CABLING
If you have a friend/family with a universal LNB, take your receiver and test it there. If it works there, you know that the fault is something to do with your dish, lnb, cabling

TUNER/Receiver FAULT
If you have another receiver or one you can borrow, try that using the exact same wires and location as you are using now.

Right, had an engineer come by. Checked the LNB all good, checked the line on his device wotking great, however still no signal on the box. He saying the box is faulty, tuner not working.

Well you were told this yesterday before you paid for someone to check it.
Do you not know anyone who has an enigma2 box you could have tried?

The guy didn’t charge me, I got an old zgemma h2h box and has willow build installed on it. Do you think I should purchase another box?
