Mobileman, don't you think the broadband providers can just pay for a line and then ban the DNS when they open the file and see where it comes from? It seems to me this could be the end of uk servers.

What is strange is why didn't they do this years ago?

The line somehow needs to be encrypted

No, no. Using a DNS hosting service allows them to negate this. So whatever they set the domain name as will remain the same, but the IP address from the server can change and will auto update the DNS hosting service.[/QUOTE]

So, why hasn't it auto updated this time?

Guys please stop posting the servers ip addresses the redirect accounts have already been reported so having to setup new ones if his static ip or current address gets reported then it means good chance of no server getting sorted soon !!!

Can admin just ban for life anybody that does

Hi Guys same issue here on my Gemma S2, changed server Friday, all was well, Got in from work today and channels scrambled, would appreciate if someone could PM me with some good instructions on how to recover the channels if at all possible. Regards. Wessy44

someone said somewhere in this thread "can't admins just ban who ever is doing it ?" if they can prove it of coarse

cheers

When its sported can we all just try to keep it a little quiet on here, only let others know through the correct unscrambled channels (excuse the pun) and not shout uit from the roof tops, or everyone will be in the same boat in a matter of hours

No idea if this is affecting all lines, as yesterday when someone said theirs had gone down again, both of mine were unaffected.

As mentioned previously if your provider has informed you it's an issue with DNS, you can simply ping the new server domain name they provide you with or perform an nslookup via a command prompt to get the IP address of the new domain name.

Replace the domain name in your line details with this IP address and it will bypass the DNS lookup when you flick to a premium channel and go directly to the server to unscramble.

If this doesn't work, then either the server your line provider is using is offline. Or they've changed the IP address of the server.

In all cases you should be contacting your line provider as they will be the ones dealing with it.

Everyone read this and please heed what's in it.
"The site has been banned again, The DNS has also been banned again.
Please stop posting The DNS and the new website on Techkings as this is causing us to continually get banned.
F.a.c.t or sky must be on Techkings
a private email with details will be sent out to client"

i believe the person you are referring to is 'the middle man' whom lots of people have line with inc' myself.
Id assume the alpha chief who smokes the pipe will tell his minions and they will 'PM' around the various forums and we will wait for the trickle down effect.
