I can recommend the X96 Air, it runs very well without any issues

Use Wifi as a last resort IMO. Run this app and you will see what a horror show Wifi is for your neighbours channel overlap. It will recommend the best channel to use which will probably be 4 or 5. Use hard wired ethernet where possible.

Can someone please advise which one of the below they would buy

X96 MAX+
X99 MAX+
H96 PRO MAX
NANO MAX
X88 PRO+
A95X F3
T95 MAX+
X96 AIR

These are all around £35-£40. Are they pretty much very similar?

All of those will work. But why not pay a bit extra and buy a purpose made IPTV box.

yeah, done all that. My speeds improve quite a bit on 5ghz, so looking to buy a box with dual band wifi

I am currently using a Buzz xrs4000:
Pause, rewind record most channels. Dedicated buttons for Live TV vod etc. Connects through a portal like a mag box..

You could get something similar for sub £100

tanix tx6 etc. i and my customers just prefer s905x3 cpu mate

I have the rockchip version for my kids room it's not bad but not on par with amlogic chips.

That list is only for android boxes that play legal streaming media such as Netflix that is why it is called a TV box Rank chart and not an IPTV box Rank chart.
Streaming IPTV is illegal and the purpose made IPTV boxes are totally different to all of the android boxes in the chart. It was an IPTV box you asked advice about whereas you have bought an android TV box.
