Mobile Operating System Support Policy - Bank of Ireland Group WebsiteNotification on text saying phone support on Android 10 will cease after 31st March from bank and yes it seems legit.
Went into the settings and no updates pending so i assume it cant go to a higher version?
Apparently notDont think i have a choice if Android 10 cannot be updated.
I have one of these from a bank I use. Pretty simple little devices to use.I have found another way as posted on BOI website for old phones.
Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. If your device is running on one of these older operating systems, and you do not update the device by 31 March, the existing version of the BoI app that you use today will not be supported should you have an issue. If you are unable to update your device we can order you a PSK. A Physical Security Key (PSK), a device unique to you which generates a code to enter into 365 online when prompted.
Your phone stopped having security updates in 2023 I think.I rang the branch and ordered one so now just to wait.
It was a replacement phone i got in 2023 as was in warranty.Your phone stopped having security updates in 2023 I think.
That’s a bit of a bugger.Ha Ha as phone is no longer used as removed from account you ALSO cannot use your desktop to access bank until your device arrives.
The second Redmi 9AT must be crap not getting phone calls and somehow drops call while chatting as like call terminated.
Time to get another one .
Chinese phones seem to have different settings and easier to get lost. 3 phone calls today never received is a pain in the arse.Go to Settings.
Networks and connections.
Go to mobile networks.
Click network operators and turn off 'select automatically.'
Your phone will search for other providers.
Click on one that you cannot connect to, not your regular provider.
It will reject you....try a few others, then connect back to your regular provider.
This will refresh your phone's connection to your provider.
My Samsung did this quite a few times last summer and the above cured it.
It's not happened for months now
It was probably a network issue rather than a physical fault with the deviceChinese phones seem to have different settings and easier to get lost. 3 phone calls today never received is a pain in the arse.
Had to join the old fuddy duddy club as dont need half this crap on phone and just to keep it simple.
