Another nearly two years on, have not gotten round to selling my Xtrend ET8500, with I mention again redundant TWO DVB-C tuners. Is there a market for such a box these days?

With extortionate prices (if you can even get them at all) of DVB-S2 cards and no UK support for HD, here that route is redundant vs IPTV. Replacing the DVB-C tuners with DVB-T2 would turn it into a reasonable freeview box maybe, also finding the cards for such would be pricey....which leaves the only other two questions.......

Does anyone know if there are in mainland europe cable providers that still support card shares that this box would be useful for if sold on eBay?

Failing that, what is the current state of IPTV plugins, has this improved from the clunky mess I tried a couple of years ago?

Not very good for iptv the box will not play hvec streams. Stick it in the for sale section on here for £50 someone will buy it. Read the rules before posting it though.

Query does it actually only say DVB/C tuner or is it swappable and has DVB/T/T2 ?

So you can use if for cable NOT but freeview by Aerial.

Correct, as far as I am aware Xtrend tuner cards manufactured for this were DVB-S2, DVB-C and a hybrid DVB T/T2/C.

I bought the twin DVB-C version for use with Virmin from DVBshop until the change to nagra 3 put paid to that.
