whats the best router for use with cable does anyone know ??

All the threads I have read asking about problems with netgear routers
have always finished open ended, with no proper conclusion and have only found a few.

I haven't had any problems with mine at all, been using it ages.

I think if it was an issue there would be tonnes of threads
about it.

Used it on both cable and sat boxes

My netgear router has been fine and had it for years.. the KV box is hard wired into router so anyone will do the trick...even a belkin..!! haha

The question really isn't about which router is best, a router from the well known brands such as NetGear, LinkSys and D-Link are quite reliable.

Sometimes it just comes down to how well your ISP serves you in terms of reliability of your broadband connection. People that have problems with NetGear router is usually an isolated problem, maybe due to outdated firmware, or if it's signal strength that's the issue then that really boils down to the kind of environment the router has to deal with.

Your router won't do much of the work in this case, the most data that is transferred is the cable which gives you the video feed.

I have always used Dlink ones and have never been disappointed. It has dual antennas and I live in a semi detatched house with no signal issues
